Rainmaker Fishing Charters offers a range of awesome fishing trips around the Hilton Head area and beyond. Battle Bull Reds and Silver Kings in the shallows, drop lines for huge Grouper and Snapper offshore, or take on the world’s top predators in specialty Shark trips. There’s something for everyone!

Captain Tim’s 31’ Cape Horn is as at home in the inshore waters of Port Royal Sound as she is in the bluewaters, and is loaded with enough tech and equipment to dominate them both. 

What makes Rainmaker Fishing Charters unique is the sheer amount of trip options you have to choose from. If being in the open ocean deep sea fishing does not interest you, Rainmaker Charters offers shorter inshore trips where we stay in the protected waters of Port Royal Sound. The bite changes throughout the year with different water temperatures and fish migrations so there are a lot of potential target species to get after. If you are not a hardcore angler, Captain Tim also offers more laid back trips where we can target more general species but also take in the sights of the beautiful lowcountry and its wildlife. 

All trips come with tackle, bait, lures, and licenses - everything you need for the fishing itself. Captain Tim loves working with anglers of any age, and is always happy to teach beginners the tricks of the trade. If bringing small children, parents should consider bringing a life vest you know they will wear and fits properly.

At the end of your trip, all your catch will be cleaned and filleted, ready to cook up as the perfect end to a great day fishing. Dockside Restaurant also offers to cook your catch and does a great job. You can walk right off the dock and have a seat with a cold cocktail and fresh catch. Rainmaker Charters is in the best location on the island for enjoying a quality fishing excursion. No meeting at boat landings or losing trip time to long no wake zones. 4 Hour Trip - Inshore (AM)

Spend the afternoon battling Tarpon, Redfish, Cobia, and Sheepshead in the Port Royal and Calibogue Sounds. This is inshore angling at its best.

4 Hour Trip - Inshore (PM)

With that extra hour of fishing time, you can battle some real inshore monsters and head home with even more delicious fish! Tarpon, Redfish, Cobia, Sheepshead, and Sharks are the main target species on these trips.

5 Hour Trip - Inshore (AM)

Spend the afternoon battling trophy-size Tarpon, monster Bull Redfish, tasty Sheepshead, and much, much more on this five-hour inshore charter. The extra fishing time lets you really focus on one species, or hit them all to head home with the best range of catch.

5 Hour Trip - Inshore (PM)

We can hit the offshore reefs for various bottom fish as well as Cobia, King and Spanish mackerel, Amberjack, and Red Snapper.

6 Hour Trip - Offshore/Reef

Head out 30-40 miles to battle huge deep-water bottom fish like Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack. You may also have the chance to target topwater species like King Mackerel on these trips.
