Bassquatch Fishing is owned and operated by full-time guide Captain Ander Meine, who helps anglers of all ages and skill levels make the most of their time on the water. Whether your goal is to chase trophy bass, learn new techniques, explore local lakes, introduce a kid to fishing, or simply enjoy a fun day outdoors—you’ll get a trip tailored to your needs.

You’ll fish from a fully rigged Nitro Z18 bass boat powered by a 150 HP Mercury outboard, equipped with top-quality rods, reels, and tackle. Capt. Ander will match the gear and approach to your goals—whether that means refining your skills with finesse presentations, learning seasonal patterns, or just keeping rods bent all day long.

Bassquatch Fishing runs trips on many of the Austin-area’s best bass lakes, including Lake Austin, Travis, Buchanan, Stillhouse Hollow, Belton, and more. The main targets are Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass—hard-fighting fish that make every outing exciting.

All fishing equipment and bottled water are provided. You’re welcome to bring your own rods if you prefer, but most clients enjoy trying Capt. Ander’s setups designed for local conditions. Catch and release is encouraged, though you may keep fish within state regulations (please plan ahead for cleaning and transporting your catch, as those services are not provided).

Spend a full day on the water exploring some of Central Texas's most productive lakes for Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass. A full-day trip gives us time to cover more water, try multiple patterns, and maximize your chances at both numbers of fish and bigger bites. All rods, reels, tackle, and gear are provided. Trips typically run 8 hours, with flexible start times based on the season and your preference.

Start your day on the water with a 4-hour morning trip chasing Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass on one of several Central Texas lakes. Morning is often the most productive window, with active fish and cooler conditions — perfect for both beginners and seasoned anglers. All rods, reels, tackle, and gear are provided, so you can focus on fishing. Trips typically launch at safelight and run for about four hours.

Half Day Trip (AM)

Prefer a later start? This 4-hour trip runs during the last several hours of daylight, a prime window when bass often feed as the sun sets. While mornings can sometimes have a slight edge, my top three guided trips ever — in both numbers and size of fish — have all come in this late-day window. We'll target Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass. All rods, reels, tackle, and gear are included. Trips launch mid-to-late afternoon and run until dark.
