Get ready for a freshwater fishing adventure that’ll see you cruising the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair for the catch of a lifetime! Come aboard Eastside Fishing Charters, located in Detroit, and let Captain Rick Jaehn show you just what this fantastic fishery has to offer.

Capt. Rick’s fishing obsession started at a very young age. He started off fishing the banks of Lake St. Clair during summer vacation, and moved on to exploring the Detroit River with his older brother, who taught him the art of hand-lining for Walleye. He still loves reeling in this freshwater superstar, along with plenty of Perch and Musky! After 40 years of chasing many fish throughout Michigan, he decided to earn his Master Captain’s license, and is now proudly USCG-certified.

Capt. Rick specializes in offering Walleye trips on the Detroit River, and trolling trips for trophy Musky, as well as Perch, on Lake St. Clair. Each adventure takes place on his 21’ Lund aluminum vessel, perfectly built to cruise these freshwater fishing grounds. She can accommodate up to 4 anglers. On board, you’ll find navigational gear to get you on fish efficiently, as well as safety equipment to ensure a comfortable ride.

Depending on the trip you choose, you’ll be trolling or jigging for your dream catch. Capt. Rick will be on hand to help you refine your technique, as well as providing you with top-of-the-line Pflueger and St Croix rods and reels. He says it best himself: “My equipment, lures, and background make for a exceptional charter fishing experience!”

If you’re reeling in Walleye, your captain will clean, fillet, and pack your catch for you. Everything you need for a productive day on the water is included in your trip – all you need to bring along are your favorite snacks and drinks, and a valid fishing license. Join Capt. Rick and head to the bountiful waters of Lake St. Clair for the chance to reel in lots of Perch! Your captain will have you trolling and jigging for your catch. Your trip includes top-of-the-line St Croix and Pflueger rods and reels, and you'll be provided with live bait, too. All you need to bring is a valid fishing license. Perch cleaning is not included on this trip.

5 Hour – Lake St. Clair/Perch (AM)

Head out for an afternoon of cruising the hottest fishing grounds of the Detroit River with Capt. Rick, and get ready to reel in plenty of Walleye! Your captain will have you jigging for your catch, and you'll be provided with top-quality St Croix and Pflueger rods and reels and live bait. After your trip, Capt. Rick will clean, fillet, and pack your catch for you. All you need is a valid fishing license.

5 Hour – Detroit River/Walleye (PM)

Spend an extended afternoon out on the waters of Lake St. Clair, and get ready to reel in plenty of Perch. Your captain will teach you the best techniques to use to hook your dream catch, including trolling and jigging. You'll be provided with top-of-the-line St Croix and Pflueger rods and reels, as well as live bait. Just bring along a fishing license! Perch cleaning is not included on this trip.

5 Hour – Lake St. Clair/Perch (PM)

Get ready for a morning of reeling in plenty of Walleye as you head to the productive fishing grounds of Lake St. Clair. Capt. Rick will teach you how to jig and troll for your catch, and he'll provide you with top-quality Pflueger and St Croix rods and reels to help you hook 'em in. Your trip also includes live bait to tempt your catch. All you need is a fishing license!

Walleye/ Multi-species Lake StClair

Capt. Rick will take you out to the most productive fishing grounds of Lake St. Clair on this afternoon trip. When you get to the hottest spots, he'll have you jigging and trolling for your dream Walleye. You'll be provided with top-quality Pflueger and St Croix rods and reels to help you land plenty of fish! Your trip also includes live bait. All you need to bring is a valid fishing license.

Get ready to spend a morning trolling for Musky, Musky, and more Musky! Capt. Rick will take you out onto the plentiful fishing grounds of Lake St. Clair, and you'll have the chance to test out your best technique to land your catch. Your captain will make sure you're provided with top-quality rods and reels, as well as live bait to tempt the fish. All you need to bring along is a valid fishing license.
