Your Fishing Charter

Running angling trips out of Southport / oak island, Seabbatical Charters invites you to check out the local fishery in style.

Your captain is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You'll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, fly fishing, drift fishing, handline, jigging, and spinning, depending on what you're going after. As part of their 3 to 12-hour trips, you can target species like Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and Shark, depending on the current season and weather conditions.

Your adventure begins on board a 30' Baha cruiser boat that can fit a maximum of 5 anglers. The boat is fitted with a toilet, ice box, and wireless trolling motor. All rods, reels and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day.

You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated. You'll find free drinks on the boat for your convenience, but you're always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to.

Children are welcome aboard so you’re good to get the young ones started early.

Want to see the beauty of the intercostal waterway?  This is a fun adventure that combines a little fun fishing with some sightseeing.    Great for little kids that you want to introduce to the water, or adults that juat want to cruise.

It's a fun way to see the back country on the days that the ocean isn't fishable.  We will tour the march and do some fun fishing.   ( this trip can be run in our backwater skiff if it is 4 people or less)  the skiff lets us get to more remote and beautiful locations.

This is a great little 3-hour trip. We will see dolphins, troll for Spanish Mackerel, and tango with a Shark.  It's good for a group that wants to do a short fun trip or for a family with kids they want to introduce to fishing.   In the fall this can be a fun trip for bull red drum.

3 Hour Trip nearshore

We will troll the beach for tasty Spanish Mackerel, tango with a big Shark, and enjoy watching dolphins play.

Half Day Trip 3 hours afternoon

A great way to start ocean fishing. We will troll the beach for tasty Spanish Mackerel, tango with a few Sharks, and look for dolphins.

Half Day Trip – 4 hours morning

Great fun on big sharks and we will troll the beach for some tasty fish for you to take home for dinner.

Halfday 4 hour afternoon

Get out a few more miles and try some larger King Mackerel and bottom fish for some action.
