If you’re an avid Billfish chaser, then you’ve come to the right place. Capt. Red is a proud winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Billfish Foundation and he dedicated his life to catching Marlin across the globe.

The bountiful waters of St. Thomas are the playground of Blue Marlin and White Marlin, which makes them the perfect place to land your next trophy. The best time to go after these prestigious fish is from April to October. You can also hook various Tuna species here, along with Mahi Mahi and Wahoo.

Bear in mind that Billfish are strictly catch and release, and everything else you catch, you’ll share with the crew. The captain and his first mate will clean and fillet the fish for your convenience.

“The Abigail III” is a 44’ aluminum sport fisher and she’ll be your ride for the day. The boat is outfitted with twin 870 HP Caterpillar engines and has plenty of room for up to 6 anglers to fish at the same time. Capt. Red will provide top-of-the-line Penn International tackle, lures, and fishing licenses for everyone.

With a private toilet and an air-conditioned cabin, the vessel is perfectly suited for longer fishing jaunts. You will have a competent first mate by your side, so if you need any help, don’t hesitate to ask. For all his hard work, 10–20% tips are much appreciated.

If you need pickup from St. John Island, the captain can arrange it for an additional charge ($50). The only thing you should think about before the trip is packing enough food for your day on the boat. Sunscreen and hats are also a good idea.

This is the perfect expedition for anglers that want to spend 8 hours on the boat, going after a mixed bag of catch. On your to-catch list is everything from Wahoo and Mahi Mahi to Tuna, Sailfish, and Marlin. Everything fishing-related will be at your disposal, but you'll need to take care of food and snacks on your own. You don't have to get up early to enjoy excellent fishing with Capt. Red, and this trip is proof. Stay on the trail of Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and possibly Marlin. Tackle, drinks, and licenses are provided, so just remember to stock up on snacks. Please note – there may be a fuel surcharge added onto the trip price, check with the captain.


Half Day Trip (PM)

With 6 hours on the water, you get a chance to go further offshore and target Sailfish, Blue and White Marlin, along with Blackfin and Yellowfin Tuna. Wahoo and Mahi Mahi could easily make an appearance as well. You'll have rods, reels, and bait on the boat, as well as water, soda, and beer, so you'll just need your lunch and snacks. Please note – there may be a fuel surcharge added onto the trip price, check with the captain.

3/4 Day Trip

This is a 10-hour charter that will take you offshore in pursuit of the prized Billfish  – Blue Marlin, White Marlin, and Sailfish. You can also find Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi on the way, and that will make everything even more exhilarating. Don't forget to have plenty of food with you, and your guide will have quality fishing equipment and drinks at the ready. Please note – there may be a fuel surcharge added onto the trip price, check with the captain.
