Captain Matthew Champion moved to Destin in 1987. His father took him fishing here and he knew fishing is what he would be doing for the rest of his life. In 1993, he got his first job on a party boat. Throughout his career, Capt. Matt has worked on party boats, commercial vessels fishing for snapper and grouper, and private charters. He caught so many fish in his life that he doesn't need to catch another one, but seeing the happiness in his customers' eyes while fishing is everything to him. Captain Matt has placed and won several tournaments, including five, 1st place finishes and one, 2nd place finish in the 2016 Destin deep sea Fishing Rodeo.

Awesome Day on the Water!!
These guys are the best!! The boat is comfortable to move about, never feel crowded. The Captain and first mate are willing to adjust to how the fish are biting. Nonstop action from the moment we stepped on the boat!!

5 hours with Captain Champion
Captain Matthew put us on snapper, jacks and grouper even with the dolphins chasing us to each fishing spot stealing the right fish off our hooks. We had a great time and first mate Brody took great care of us! I wish we had made more time to do a longer trip.

What’s included in the trip price
Yes, we fish with live bait that is all included in the price.
Our mate cleans bags and separates all your fish for you. That is also included with the price no extra fees.
Our mate has been fishing with years of experience. I always suggest a 20% tip on top of the trip. It’s whatever you’re comfortable with.
Yes, we cover your fishing license, bait, and tackle, no extra fees everything is included.
How cancellations work
Free cancellation up to 7 days prior to trip
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
