Super Fly Charters can’t wait to take you on a professional and friendly guided fishing trip. Captain John Coppola is based in the area known as the Kennebec watershed. His main target is striped bass, which he hunts on the rocky coast and the broad reach of the Kennebec River.

Capt. John welcomes you to join him on his 21’ Parker center console. The “Super Fly” accommodates up to 5 guests. There can be 2-3 rods in the water at a time. This boat is fully equipped with 2 fishfinders, GPS chart plotters, VHF radios, a cell phone, and all USCG-required safety equipment.

Capt. John’s fishing tactics include live baiting, casting popping plugs, soft plastics, and metal jigs with spinning rods. He also uses specialized “butterfly” jigging techniques. In addition to this, he’ll supply you with all the necessary tackle.

On this 4 hour trip, you'll get right to the action of hunting down Striped Bass in the river, as the rushing tides make them go into a feeding frenzy. The captain will provide everything you need to cast off, and will clean your catch afterward. Kids of all ages are welcome!

Get right into the action and cast for Striped Bass! The captain will provide everything you need for an exciting day, and will even clean your catch after you've hooked your fill. Contact him before the trip to check which departure time will work best, as this depends on the tides of the day.

4 Hour Trip (AM)

If you're interested in fly fishing, the captain will prepare your equipment for you. Of course, you can always bring your own if you prefer. Note that only 2 guests can fly cast at the same time. Live bait will be caught during the trip. A catch cleaning and filleting service is available free of charge.

6 Hour Trip (AM)

This 6-hour trip starts by catching some live bait and then heading out to hook the main targets of the day: Striped Bass and Bluefish. Your fishing spot is usually within a 15 minute ride from the marina. Contact the captain for departure times, as they can be very flexible and tide-dependent.
