Captain John exceeded expectation!! I was uncomfortable making our way to the spot in the ocean because of dense fog, Captain John turned around and we fished in the river until the fog burned off. We caught a ton of fish, my son caught over 100 pollack and mackerel. That made his day and we caught a some cod and a striper when they weren't really suppose to be biting (it's a bit early for them). Overall great day on the water!

We got into fish in 5 minutes and moved when we needed to. My 8y/o added 5 new species to his list. When we get back to Maine we will be back to fish with John.

We had a great time with Captain John. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, and experienced. We started by catching the baitfish and followed that with catching a bunch of stripers. As my headline says, I wanted to catch some fish, but more importantly I wanted to learn how to catch fish. Capt. John was completely open to giving me a lesson throughout the entire six hours. I would absolutely recommend Captain John and Super Fly Charters.

We had the most incredible fishing experience thanks to Captain John! It was our first time fishing for Stripers, and from the moment we stepped aboard his private charter, it was clear we were in expert hands. Captain John not only knew the best fishing spots, he also had a deep understanding of the history of fishing in this area over the past 30 years, which made the trip even more engaging. His boat was immaculate, and safety was a top priority throughout the journey. We caught close to 40 Stripers throughout the day, and the majority of which were shockingly over 40 inches!! We even caught a 45" Striper!! Captain John was patient and thorough in teaching us and we reeled in probably 70% of the bites we got, it was a surreal day to say the least. I can't recommend Captain John and his private fishing charter enough. Whether you're an experienced angler or novices like we are, he will provide an unforgettable adventure on the water. We'll definitely be returning for another unforgettable day of fishing with Captain John next summer when we visit Maine again! Lastly, to make the day even more exciting, our trip with Captain John took an unexpected twist when an adolescent great white shark made a surprise appearance, snatching one of our catches about 10 feet from the boat! It was a thrilling moment that added an extra layer of excitement to our adventure. Captain John skillfully managed the situation, ensuring our safety while allowing us to witness this incredible spectacle up close. We can't wait to get back out on the water with him next summer!

The best we could have asked for. John was patient with us and extremely focus to make sure we had a catch - and actually multiple in the end. Highly recommend.

We just finished our charter with Captain John and could not wait to write a review! He is a true professional and certainly a skilled captain. Between catching the bait fish mackerel (which was also so much fun) to landing some huge stripers, every moment was filled with excitement! We would highly recommend him to new and seasoned fisherman. He took great care to make sure we had a successful and safe charter. Worth every penny!!

Captain was a great guy. Even if we didn't catch anything I couldn't say he wasn't trying.. But we did catch some nice ones. Plus we caught the bait which was cool too. Would 100% come back again.

Captain John went right to the perfect spot to catch striped bass. Multiple bass caught, largest was 41”. Would highly recommend as John C is very knowledgeable & experienced🤗

Captain John was very knowledgeable and knew exactly where to head on a foggy July day. We had a blast and caught so many stripers back to back and rapid fire, if it wasn’t over 32+ inches we didn’t take pictures! Highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon on the water with Super Fly Charters!
