See the other side of fishing in Mexico aboard “Cancun Light Tackle & Fly Fishing Tours”! You’ll explore the calm waters of the Nichupte Lagoon. This inshore fishing haven is in the Cancun Hotel Zone and there’s no one better to show you around than the longest standing guide service in Cancun.

The Nichupte Lagoon which is a brackish reserve that consists of 5 different systems, all connected to each other. Many of these lagoons have national park status and no motorized boats or wave runners are allowed, ensuring the waters are always calm. 

The vessel you will be fishing aboard is a 2010 18’ Hell’s Bay Neptune flats boat. She can carry two adult guests who are both able to fish at the same time and can cruise at an impressive 40 knots. There are life jackets in all sizes for your safety and an ice box for your drinks and snacks. 

You’ll target an impressive range of gamey inshore fish. Go after Tarpon, Permit, Snook, and Bonefish in shallower waters and target Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, and Snapper a little further out. Remember, all fish caught aboard Cancun Light Tackle & Fly Fishing Tours are strictly catch and release. Snap a great photo and send your fish off to keep on swimming!

Both spinning tackle and fly gear, as well as a variety of lures and flies, await on board. The captain is sponsored by Eagle Claw and the reels are custom made for the type of fishing done in these waters. 

Help yourself to the bottled water and soda drinks on board or bring your own. On 6+ hour trips you'll also be treated a light lunch. The Mexican sun is strong so don’t forget your sun protection either! There's an additional dock fee of US$10 per person.

Sight cast with spinning tackle or fly gear on this 6-hour adventure in Cancun's Nichupte Lagoon! You'll target Tarpon, Snook, Barracuda, Jacks and Sea Trout year-round in this protected reserve. To go after Permit and Bonefish, head down between October and May. The waters are calm and there are no motorized boats allowed in most areas, making it a great place to take the kids. Gear, soft drinks, and bottled water await on board, just pack your sun protection and you’re good to go! There's an additional dock fee of US$10 per person.

Head out on this 4-hour afternoon adventure and explore the waters inside Cancun’s Nichupte Lagoon! No motorized boats or wave runners are allowed here, which ensures the waters are calm and makes it a great space to come with the kids! Year-round, you can catch Baby Tarpon, Snook, Jacks, Snappers, Barracudas, and Sea Trout and from May till October Permit and Bonefish. If you’re hoping to target a specific species within the Nichupte Lagoon the 6-hour trip is the one for you! Go after Tarpon, Jacks, Sea Trout, Barracuda and Snapper year-round in this brackish reserve. If it’s Bonefish or Permit you’re after, head down between May and October. There are no motorized boats allowed in most areas of the reserve so the calm waters are ideal for sight casting. Spinning and fly gear await on board, as do soft drinks and bottled water. There's a US$10 dockage fee per person.

Explore the Nichupte Lagoon on this 6-hour adventure! The majority of the 5 systems that make up the reserve restrict access to motorized boats, ensuring the waters are always calm and great for sight casting. Use spinning tackle or fly gear to target Tarpon, Jacks, Sea Trout, Barracuda and Snapper year-round and Bonefish and Permit for May to October. Gear awaits on board, as do bottled water, soft drinks, and a light lunch. There's an additional dock fee of US$10 per person.

Spend 8-hours exploring Cancun's Nichupte Lagoon! This brackish reserve consists of 5 different systems all connected to each other.
