Join Wild Goose Fishing Charters on a San Diego fishing trip you’ll never forget! With a lifetime of fishing experience, Captain Ray’s passion is putting his clients on the fish, passing along the knowledge that he has gained over the years and making sure everyone has a good time.

Experience the ultimate fishing platform for up to 6 passengers. The Wild Goose is a perfectly laid out 37’ Strike walkaround boat with 360-degree fishing ability – all on a level deck. The boat offers 2 livewells and state-of-the-art Furuno electronics.

Capt. Ray specializes in offshore trips targeting pelagic species, such as Tuna, Yellowtail, and Mahi Mahi on the Coronado islands, but he also enjoys targeting Rockfish and Lingcod at the local banks. Lots of other more casual trips are available as well, so just take your pick!

You’ll have a variety of Penn, Shimano, and Calstar rods to choose from. If you love snorkeling, Capt. Ray has the equipment for 3 guests. You’ll need to purchase your fishing license. Make sure to bring your passport and fishing visa if you want to reach the waters of Mexico.

Wild Goose Fishing Charters

Passports required. Explore the waters around the Coronado Islands and target Yellowtail and a variety of Rockfish, Lingcod Whitefish, and Sculpin. Depending on conditions, this trip may take you a bit further west or south targeting Tuna species and Paddy Yellowtail. Add the visual beauty of the islands and the likelihood of seeing dolphins, seals, and whales, and you get a great adventure! Make sure to bring your passport as you'll be fishing Mexican waters.

We will target Halibut in the harbor. This is a nice relaxing trip that allows you to take in the sights of the San Diego skyline while affording you the opportunity to catch halibut, spotted bay bass and other local species.  

Harbor Fishing trip

This trip targets various species of deep water rockfish at the North 9 mile Bank. When conditions are right this can be a productive trip. We will be fishing in 450-700’ so it can be a good workout as well. No Passports required! Just a California fishing license.

5hr Local/Deep Water Rockfish

Passports required. Spend 5 hours fishing the Coronado Islands targeting Yellowtail and a variety of Rockfish, Whitefish, and Sculpin. This is definitely more of an adventure over the local 4-hour trip. You'll need a fishing license and a conservation bracelet. Make sure to also bring your passport as you'll be fishing Mexican waters.

5 Hour Trip – Coronados (AM)

This trip will have you fishing around the Coronado Islands targeting Rockfish, Yellowtail, Whitefish, and Sculpin. On top of that, add the captivating beauty of the island and the sea life you can find here – definitely a more exciting trip than the local one. Make sure to bring your passport as you'll be fishing Mexican waters.

5 Hour Trip (PM) – Coronados

This trip will see you targeting Tuna, Yellowtail, Dorado and other pelagic species. When Tuna is within 30 miles, this trip should give you enough opportunity to put some meat in the cooler. Your fishing equipment is fully covered, so bring some snacks and drinks and come have a great time!

8 Hour Trip – Offshore

On this 10-hour trip, you'll be targeting pelagic species including Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, and Mahi Mahi. Give yourself a couple more hours of fishing time, and travel a little further for a better chance to catch some trophy fish.

10 Hour Trip – Offshore

This trip provides the best opportunity to fill the coolers with Tuna and other pelagic species. Whether Tuna is at the outer banks or you want more time to try and max out, this is the best trip for the hardcore fishermen.
