Your Fishing Charter

Roy’s Fishing Charters operate in the beautiful waters of the Salish Sea and Howe Sound, around the spectacular city of Vancouver, BC. They offer year-round charters for all available and in-season species of Pacific Salmon. On longer charters in winter and spring, Crab and Prawn traps may be dropped as well. Captain Roy Tanami has fished these waters all his life, and has also guided up and down the entire BC coast for over 25 years. 

You’ll be cruising the local waters aboard "Rebel One," an immaculate, 21’ custom-designed, welded aluminum fishing machine. She's built like a tank, handles like a BMW, and is also just plain fun to run around in!  An excellent hull design also means safe, comfortable rides even when the sea gets a little bumpy.

A 200 HP 4-stroke Yamaha engine gets you to the fishing quickly, and a 10 HP kicker keeps you going all day. Scotty downriggers, Raymarine GPS, plotter, and sounder, a marine VHF radio, and an onboard sound system complete the package. To ensure a top experience for everyone, Roy focuses on small group charters, and best accommodates 2 guests per trip, with the option of one additional guest for an extra price. 

Please don’t forget to get your British Columbia Tidal Waters fishing license, as the charter doesn’t cover it. At the end of your trip, your fish will be cleaned, filleted, and bagged. Children are welcome, too so bring the whole family and experience a unique Vancouver fishing adventure with Roy’s Fishing Charters!

If you prefer to lie in, don't worry, there's an afternoon trip ready for you. Head out at 1 P.M. (or later – depending on your preference) and spend 5 hours going after a range of prized Salmon, Lingcod, and more. Please note that there is an additional charge of $125 for a third guest.

Winter is a great time to fish in Vancouver for chrome-bright winter chinook salmon! These tasty, resident fish are available all winter, and are highly prized for eating! Crab and/or prawn traps can also be set to round out a nice winter seafood dinner. Winter in Vancouver is not just for skiing!

8hr Winter Special

Spend a whole day targeting Salmon with this full-day trip. What's better than the open air and fresh sea, going after some delicious fish. Get in touch with your captain to agree on a departure time, and he'll let you know what's best regarding daylight and settle in for a fun-filled day on the water. Just be aware that there's an additional charge of $125 for a third guest.

8 Hour Trip

Give yourself ample time to relax and slowly enjoy your fishing for Salmon with this extended full-day trip. Leave the dock anytime according to your schedule and length of day, and head out in search of these feisty creatures before heading home with a tasty treat. The charter price is for 2 people but you can add another guest for just $125 more.
