Always Late Fishing Charters invites you on a fishing adventure on the beautiful waters of Florida. Starting out of Marathon in the Florida Keys, you’ll head out to the area’s fish-rich grounds and have a great time chasing various interesting species. Whether you want to stay inshore, travel far off the coast, or explore lovely reefs, Captain Lucas Ponzoa will make sure you enjoy your trip to the fullest. Give him a call and book your next fun-packed fishing trip in Florida!

Your boat for the day will be a 32’ SeaVee saltwater fishing boat. It can sit up to 6 guests and is powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha engines that will take you to the fish in no time. The boat is rigged with all the modern Garmin navigation electronics used to locate the fish quickly and provide safe movement on the water. The boat has a flybridge and its fishing equipment includes outriggers, spearfishing gear, snorkeling gear, a fighting chair, and a livewell. A first mate will also join your trip.

You’ll have the chance of catching some of the most delicious as well as hard-fighting fish out there. To name just some of the species you’ll target, there are Black Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowtail Snapper, and Wahoo. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom fish, troll, spin, jig, pop, and kite fish. You can keep your catch and you’re welcome to bring kids on your trip.

Capt. Lucas provides all the fishing tackle, bait, and licenses. He’ll also clean and fillet your catch if you want him to. Just remember to bring some food and drinks before you start the trip.

Enjoy a lovely afternoon anchoring up or drifting reefs and wrecks as you bottom fish using live bait. You'll target Grouper, Permit, Kingfish, African Pompano, Shark, Cobia, as well as different sorts of Snapper. Your captain takes care of everything, so all you need to bring is some food and water.

4 Hour Trip – Reef/Wreck/Bay (PM)

Heading offshore into the Gulf Stream, you'll be targeting Mahi, Tuna, Tripletail, Wahoo, and other pelagic fish. You'll be provided with a first mate, and all of the equipment and live bait necessary. Please bring your own food and drinks.

4 Hour Trip – Offshore (AM)

Get ready to mix it up as you anchor up and chum the wrecks for various species of Snapper. You'll also drift along the wrecks in the Atlantic and in the Bay for Grouper, Mutton, Kingfish, Cobia, African Pompano, Permit, and many more.

6 Hour Trip – Reef/Wreck/Bay

Head out offshore into the Gulf Stream and have lots of fun chasing Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Tripletail, as well as other pelagic fish. The captain provides all the gear, live bait, as well as a first mate. Feel free to bring the food and drinks of your choice.

4 Hour Trip – Offshore (PM)

You'll be doing a little bit of everything on this trip. From anchoring on the reefs to drifting and exploring the wrecks from the Bay out to the Atlantic. You'll be targeting Grouper, African Pompano, sharks, Snapper, Permit, Kingfish, Cobia, and more.

8 Hour Trip – Reef/Wreck/Bay

You'll be heading offshore into the Gulf Stream for a 6-hour trip. You'll target Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi, Tripletail, and other pelagic species. The captain provides a first mate and supplies all of the needed equipment and live bait. Please bring food and drinks.
