Payment and Pricing Terms
General
These terms regulate our Payment and Pricing, and the rights and obligations of all Users and Customers who pay or receive money in connection to the services listed on the FishingBooker platform.
It is hereby acknowledged that FishingBooker pre-negotiates certain rates with Vendors to facilitate the booking of reservations on your behalf. Users hereby authorize FishingBooker to book reservations for the total reservation price, which includes the rate displayed on the Website. Upon submitting a reservation request, Users authorize FishingBooker to facilitate reservations on their behalf.
The price of the Vendor’s services will be as quoted on the Website, except in cases of obvious error. Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect bookings already accepted by Vendors. Despite FishingBooker's best efforts, some of the Services listed on the website may be incorrectly priced. A final price will be given prior to a trip being confirmed by the customer. Errors are rare but can occur in the pricing system and these cannot be honored. FishingBooker is under no obligation to provide Services to a Customer at an incorrect (lower) price, even if a booking has been confirmed.
FISHINGBOOKER EXPRESSLY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CORRECT ANY PRICING ERRORS ON THE WEBSITE AND/OR ON PENDING RESERVATIONS MADE UNDER AN INCORRECT PRICE. IN SUCH AN EVENT, IF AVAILABLE, FISHINGBOOKER WILL OFFER THE CUSTOMER THE OPPORTUNITY TO KEEP THEIR PENDING RESERVATION AT THE CORRECT PRICE OR THE RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELED WITHOUT PENALTY.
Payment Models, Fees and Security Deposit
Users are not required to pay FishingBooker any joining or initial subscription fee(s) related to the use of FishingBooker's Services.
Vendors can have multiple Payment Models active at the same time, including but not limited to combinations such as Full Upfront Payment Model with Deposit Payment Model (with or without the Remaining Balance option), Full Upfront Payment Model with Standard Payment Model. In such cases, Customers will be able to choose their preferred Payment Model before completing the booking.
Standard Payment Model
In the Standard payment model, the security deposit acts as the commission – set by the Vendor in the amount of 10–30% of the total trip price. The security deposit is charged by FishingBooker on the Vendor’s behalf from the Customer once a trip is booked, while the remaining amount is directly paid to the Vendor.
After a completed trip FishingBooker keeps the security deposit (10–30%) as a commission that FishingBooker charges a Vendor for use of the Services.
In the event that a trip is canceled, FishingBooker will return the security deposit to the Customer or will forward it to the Vendor, depending on whether the Vendor’s cancellation policy was breached or not. Please refer to the Refund Policy for more information.
Customers may be presented with an option to settle the remaining balance for the trip price via the FishingBooker platform, where processing and service fees may apply.
The Standard Payment Model is referenced as "Commission as deposit" on the Website and Platform.
Deposit Payment Model
In the Deposit Payment Model, Vendors may preselect a deposit as a percentage of the total trip price. This percentage determines the initial payment required from the Customer to secure the booking. The deposit amount must equal or exceed the preselected commission, as the commission is incorporated into the initial transaction.
After a completed trip, the previously set commission by the Vendor (10–30%) is kept by FishingBooker for use of the Services and the difference between the total Deposit Amount paid by the Customer and charged commission is transferred to the Vendor, reduced by any additional fees that may occur.
Customers may be presented with an option to settle the remaining balance for the trip price via the FishingBooker platform, where processing and service fees may apply.
Full Upfront Payment Model
In the Full Upfront Payment Model, the Customer pays the full trip price upfront during checkout. This amount also acts as a security deposit and is collected by FishingBooker on behalf of the Vendor before the trip.
After a completed trip, the previously set commission by the Vendor (10–30%) is kept by FishingBooker for use of the Services and the difference between the total trip price and charged commission is transferred to the Vendor, reduced by any additional fees that may occur.
All other expenses that may occur prior, during, or after the trip date, such as tips, travel expenses, local fees and taxes, and accommodation costs are to be settled by the customer. FishingBooker does not bear any responsibility for settling any costs that haven’t been presented in the total trip price.
Collect/Pay Remaining Balance
In case of the Standard Payment Model and Deposit Payment Model, customers may be presented with an option to settle the remaining balance for the trip price via the FishingBooker platform prior to or on the trip date. Processing and Service fees may apply.
Commission
Vendors set a commission amount between 10–30% of the total package price (i.e., the booking and any additional expenses).
The set commission acts as a security deposit under the Standard Payment Model and is kept by FishingBooker after the trip is completed for the use of the Service.
In cases of Full Upfront Payment Model and Deposit Payment Model, the previously set commission by the Vendor (10–30%) is kept by FishingBooker after a completed trip.
Security Deposit
- In the case of the Standard Payment Model the prepayment made by the Customer at the time of booking acts as a security deposit for the booking.
- In the case of the Deposit Payment Model, the prepayment made by the Customer at the time of booking acts as a security deposit for the booking
- In the case of the Full Upfront Payment Model the prepayment made by the Customer at the time of booking acts as a security deposit for the booking.
The Security Deposit may also be referenced as ‘Confirmation payment’ on the Platform.
Payment Processing Fees
Additional fees may occur depending on the available payment method. If processing fees apply when completing a transaction via the FishingBooker platform, they will be presented in the price breakdown component. Processing fees cover the cost of processing the payment with the payment provider.
At the Vendor's sole discretion, Processing Fees shall be either covered by the Vendor, split between the Vendor and the customer, or passed on to the Customer, as applicable, according to the local laws and regulations of where their business is located.

- PayPal;
- Apple Pay;

In order to make a complete booking reservation, the payment must be processed successfully. If, however, a payment is not completed, all monies processed will be forfeited, and the booking will be canceled.
FishingBooker reserves the right to enable or disable a certain payment method at its discretion.
Vendor-specific Payout Method
When a Vendor adds a Payout Method, they will be asked to provide information necessary for Payout method verification, such as their name, billing address, tax information, and financial instrument information. Vendors must provide accurate, current, and complete information when adding a Payout Method and it is the Vendor's obligation to keep it up-to-date at all times. The information required for adding Payout Methods will depend on the particular Payout Method chosen and the Vendor’s jurisdiction and may include: name on the account, account type, routing number, account number, email address, mailing address, business information, tax identification number, Social Security Number, etc.
Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their Payout Method information. FishingBooker is not responsible for any loss suffered by the Vendor as a result of incorrect or incomplete Payout Method information provided by the Vendors themselves.
All payments by FishingBooker to Vendors will be paid via Paypal, ACH, Wire Transfer, Check, or Stripe, and can only be completed upon receipt of appropriate supporting verification documents. The availability of payout methods may differ depending on a Vendor’s location and whether they are an Individual or Business. FishingBooker may at its sole discretion, disable the usage of a certain payout method to a Vendor.
If the Vendor’s default payout method is inaccurate or invalid, or a payout cannot be made for any other reason using the selected default method; providing a Vendor has previously selected (any) other payout method(s), FishingBooker reserves the right, at its sole discretion and in good faith, to select an alternative payout method for the Vendor. FishingBooker also reserves the right to make any future payouts via the alternative payout method
FishingBooker reserves the right to choose a different type of payout method other than the aforementioned if, in good faith, it determines that a different type of payout method is more appropriate.
The availability of a specific payout method may vary depending on the location where the Vendor’s services are offered. FishingBooker reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to enable or disable any payout method at any time, including based on technical limitations, regulatory requirements, or business considerations.
Supporting document: A standard supporting document is an invoice that must be accurate and must contain adequate information concerning the chosen payout method. Additional supporting documents can be defined as a credit memo, credit request, etc., issued by the Vendor. Or any other supporting document such as Tax Statements.
In the event that FishingBooker mistakenly sends more money to the Vendor than it should, the Vendor shall be obligated to return the excess amount.
Additional Fees and Currency Conversions
Please note that Payment Methods and Payout Methods may involve the use of third-party payment service providers. These service providers may charge additional fees when processing payments and payouts, and FishingBooker is not responsible for any such fees and disclaims all liability in this regard. Users' Payment Methods or Payout Methods may also be subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by the applicable third-party payment service provider. Users are asked to review these terms and conditions before using a Payment Method or Payout Method.
Please note that third-party payment service providers may impose transaction, currency conversion or other fees based on the currency and an exchange rate and FishingBooker is not responsible for any such fees and disclaims all liability in this regard. Users should contact their bank or credit card company if they have any questions about these fees or any applicable exchange rates.
Customers are responsible for selecting their preferred currency to view prices.
THE COMPANY ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR INSTANCES WHERE USERS OMIT OR MISINTERPRET THE "$" SYMBOL. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, "$" REFERS TO US DOLLARS.
Customer-specific Terms
All of the Services require a security deposit at the time of booking for a fishing trip to be secured. Any outstanding balance is due to be paid to the Vendor prior to using Services rendered by and booked with a selected Vendor. If a Customer does not pay their remaining balance prior to using the Vendor's Services, the Vendor may cancel the booking and keep the security deposit as set out in the Vendor's cancellation policy which can be found on their listing.
With certain Vendors who opted to accept the Full Upfront Payment method, Customers can be requested to pay the full amount at the time of the booking in advance – before the trip's date. If a Customer selects this option, they will be charged the full amount in US dollars by direct bank transfer or by credit, debit or prepaid card, and some additional charges and conditions may apply.
FishingBooker’s role is restricted solely to acting as a limited payment collection agent for Vendors by facilitating payment on behalf of the Vendor through the FishingBooker platform using a payment service provider, and these payments will be considered the same as payments made directly by Customers to the Vendor. While acting as a limited payment collection agent for a particular Vendor, FishingBooker denies any other agency or authority to act on behalf of the Vendor and assumes no liability or responsibility for any acts or omissions of the Vendor, either within or outside of the FishingBooker platform.
In case the Loyalty Program discount applies to the trip price, please refer to Loyalty Program Terms.
Credits
FishingBooker may, at its sole discretion, offer customers credit. Credit is a monetary value added to a Customer’s account, for which they may receive a deduction or refund of the security deposit processed by FishingBooker for their fishing trip.
In the event that a Customer cancels or changes a prepaid reservation without breaching the individual Vendor’s selected cancellation policy, they may be presented with the option to receive a credit amounting to at least the value of their prepaid security deposit.
If a Customer wishes to make a prepayment and make a reservation later, they may be presented with the option to receive credit amounting to at least the value they prepaid.
In the event that a Customer has overpaid or is overcharged by the Vendor, they may be presented with the option to receive a credit amounting to the overcharged amount. The Customer may be credited at least the difference in price.
The next time a Customer books a trip using their FishingBooker account, the credit will automatically be applied to the security deposit.
FishingBooker may, at its sole discretion, create a special offer or policy under which credits can be offered to Customers as specified in the terms and conditions provided within the offer or policy. FishingBooker reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend credit policies and offers at any time. This does not apply to customers with pre-existing unused credits.
FishingBooker reserves the right to create a unique credit offer for a specific Customer depending on the Customer's history and the situation.
If the awarded credit is sufficient to cover the full amount of the security deposit, the Customer will still be charged a minimum transaction amount of $0.50.
Cashback Credits are a type of credit that may be awarded to the Customer, but function differently in that the amount of the Cashback Credit—applicable only to the security deposit portion of the trip price—is refunded to the Customer after a successful trip is completed. If you have sufficient credit, it can be used across multiple bookings.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Credits can’t be transferred between customer accounts;
- Credits can be applied to multiple bookings until they are used up;
- Credits are valid for the trip’s security deposit (commission). They cannot be used for the remaining balance (in the case of the Standard Payment Model or the Deposit Payment Model). In the case of the Full Upfront Payment Model and the Deposit Payment Model, the maximum amount of credit used per booking can be equal to or less than the amount of the commission the Vendor has preselected for the listing.
- Credits cannot be used on bookings where the Loyalty Program discount is applied.
Vendor-Specific Terms
The Vendor's cancellation policy is set when their FishingBooker listing is created. The amount of the security deposit transferred to the Vendor upon a breached cancellation policy depends on the Payment Model used by the Customer at the time of booking:
-
Standard Payment Model
- The security deposit is equal to the commission amount preselected by the Vendor.
- If the cancellation policy is breached by the Customer, the full security deposit will be transferred to the Vendor.
- Deposit Payment Model
- The security deposit equals the deposit amount preselected by the Vendor.
- If the cancellation policy is breached by the Customer, FishingBooker will retain an amount equivalent to the preselected commission (cancellation fee), which ranges between 10% and 30% of the preselected deposit amount, and transfer the remaining balance to the Vendor.
- Full Upfront Payment Model
- The security deposit equals the total trip price.
- If the cancellation policy is breached, FishingBooker will retain an amount equivalent to the preselected commission (cancellation fee), which ranges between 10% and 30% of the total trip price, and transfer the remaining balance to the Vendor.
Exceptions may apply in cases involving extenuating circumstances or bad weather. For more information, see here .
The availability of a specific Payment Model may vary depending on the location where the Vendor’s services are offered. FishingBooker reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to enable or disable any payout model at any time, including based on technical limitations, regulatory requirements, or business considerations.
Payout Conditions & Cancellation Policy
- To receive the security deposit or the remaining balance, the Vendor must provide accurate payout information and/or supporting documents within 15 days of the trip cancellation date.
- FishingBooker reserves the right to withhold the security deposit and delay its release to the Vendor if either party alleges a breach of the cancellation policy, until an internal review of the case is completed.
- If FishingBooker identifies any abuse of the platform by the Vendor, it reserves the right to refund the Customer in full.
- Vendors have the option to edit and modify their cancellation policy and security deposit within the predefined options. Any later edits or modifications to the Vendor’s cancellation policy or security deposits shall apply to all bookings made after the edits or modifications were made.
- The Vendor’s cancellation policy can be overridden in cases qualifying under our Refund Policy, as defined here.
- The Vendor is solely responsible for promptly notifying FishingBooker through the FishingBooker platform in the event that a trip is canceled or shortened.
By “prior to the trip”, we mean any date before the booked trip date specified in the trip booking confirmation.
Payments outside of the Platform
Vendors are strongly discouraged from asking a Customer to provide them with a credit card or any other form of financial information so the customer can give them an additional guarantee for the trip or for any other reason.
In the event that a Customer provides a Vendor with credit card information, FishingBooker is not liable or responsible for any amount charged, nor is it responsible for any disputes that may arise from the transactions that weren’t processed through FishingBooker’s payment processor. In case a Customer raises a dispute with their bank card issuer or payment provider, and it is lost due to the Vendor having agreed to booking conditions with the customer outside of the FishingBooker platform, FishingBooker reserves the right to withhold the security deposit and deny any payout to the Vendor.
Exceptions for Australian Vendors
Vendors operating in Australia may request that Customers pay the remaining balance prior to the scheduled trip date. In such cases, all communication regarding the remaining balance must take place through the FishingBooker platform. FishingBooker is not liable for any disputes, claims, or losses that may arise from these transactions between the Captain and the Customer.
Online Payments
A Vendor may be presented with the option to receive full or partial payments for bookings through FishingBooker, or to provide an option for Customers to pay the remaining balance through the platform (collectively 'Online Payment Models’).
If a Vendor selects one of these options, they agree that FishingBooker acts as their limited payment collection agent and facilitates payment on their behalf through the FishingBooker platform using a payment service provider, and payments will be considered the same as payments made directly to the Vendor. While acting as a Vendor's limited payment collection agent, FishingBooker denies any other agency or authority to act on their behalf, and assumes no liability or responsibility for any acts or omissions made by the Vendor, either within or outside of the FishingBooker platform.
If a Vendor agrees to activate one of the available Online Payment Models, they will be required to provide FishingBooker with the necessary information to verify their Stripe Connected account and to accept the Stripe Services Agreement. In the event that important information or ownership is changed Vendor must re-accept the Stripe Services Agreement.
Vendors also agree that, if any of the information required to open and maintain an account changes, they will inform FishingBooker without delay in writing.
Vendors are solely responsible for compliance with any and all laws, rules, regulations, and tax obligations that may apply to them. FishingBooker will not charge any tax or fees on top total trip price.

To comply with the Anti-Money Laundering Laws and Regulations, FishingBooker reserves the right to restrict any User's access to the FishingBooker platform or Vendor services and develop strict procedures to minimize the risk that the service could be used for money laundering purposes, including controls and monitoring tools to identify deviations from standard customer activity and identification of suspicious activity.
