Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard the pura vida ship.

The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a four hour fishing tour, a four hour fishing tour.

It was a Great trip, from start to finish.  Capt. Greg was very nice and great comms from the start. He answered my questions promptly and tailored the trip to our needs. First mate was also on point very helpful, friendly, and patient with our less experienced members, plus Capt Greg put us right on the fish, the first mate had one hooked in less then 10 secs no joke during his quick demo.  And it really never stopped from there.  We limited out for the day and caught some cool fish. To round it out got to chat it up with Pops and crew a bit on cooking ideas back at the dock then home for a wonder fresh fish dinner.  Thank you Pura Vida will be back for sure

We met Captian Greg and Firstmate Ali at 7:00 am and they were ready from the word go! I had called the Captain prior and let him know we were mainly after Amberjack and a few fish for eating. He gave a little chuckle and said “then we will get everyone’s arms sore and then go for some eaters!” When we hit the fishing grounds they had us on the amberjack almost instantly! We ended up with 10, one being a mule! < everyone's arms were sore>

Went on to fish for some eaters and they were biting very well too. We got another small amberjack some porgie, grouper, grey snapper, lane snapper, lizardfish and few squirrelfish. An unforgettable day on the water with 50+ fish! It would probably be alright to call him Dr. Greg, cause he’s got a Phd in fisholigy!!!!! 3rd generation Captain that knows his stuff. We would recommend him to anyone!!!! Thanks again from MN!

I can not express enough how amazing Captain Greg and his mate were amazing! We caught so many beautiful keepers! They are very informative and helpful especially for beginners for off shore fishing. There is no debate on who to choose for your trip, we are so glad we booked with Captain Greg and you will be too!

My family loves being on the water.  We had a wonderful experience fishing with Pura Vida Charters.  Capt Greg put us on the fish!  Plenty of live or regular bait.  We did the whole day trip (8 hours). Started the day getting trolling for Spanish Mack’s, got a couple.  Then bottom fished for quite sone time.  If nothing was biting, Capt Greg would move us to another spot.  Kept the boat moving to keep us from getting overheated.  We caught a bunch of grunts, porgies, lane snapper.  We also caught a bunch of red groupers but they weren’t in season, too bad.  First mate Shawn was friendly and took care of us.

All in all a great time.  We look forward to another trip with Capt Greg in the future.

The waters were rough but Captain Greg tried everything he possibly could to get us on the fish in such terrible conditions, which he did!  Recommend highly to anyone looking to fish in the area, also the shaded fishing deck was amazing!
