We had a blast fishing with Gabe and crew. He taught us how to spot salmon and target them with our casts. Apparently it was a slow day for fishing but by our standards it was both thrilling and bountiful. We caught three 5-6 lb sockeye and Gabe caught a bunch more sending us home with nearly 40lbs of fish. That’s quite the haul for a half day and without chartering a boat. We’d definitely do it again.

Tip: despite what it says in the description on fishbooker, you don’t need to bring specific footwear as Gabe provides waders! There’s no need to bring a cooler (unless you’re camping in Seward). Gabe cleaned the fish and we took it to a processing place to have it blast frozen and packed for a flight. They’ll hold onto it until you’re ready to head out. It stays frozen for 24-36 hrs in the box.
