Myself and 4 others enjoyed a fantastic morning out on the water with Tres Hermanos on a 4 hour charter. Communication was great ahead of our trip as we were on a cruise with a stop in Cozumel and I didn’t want any confusion. I had asked to target a game-rich species since the others in my group have limited fishing experience and just wanted to have fun, they took note of this and accommodated us perfectly.  I also had asked prior to the trip if they could recommend a restaurant to take our catch to for lunch and I was assured I would be taken care of.

We left our ship at 7:00am and the directions were clear to taxi to the harbor (10 minute drive from port) and to meet the guys by 8:00am. We arrived early and hit the water right away, they let us play our music on the boat speakers and really catered to making us comfortable. Coolers were loaded with ice, cervezas, sodas and waters and we were hooked up on the first fish of the day within 10 minutes. Everyone was all smiles as we pulled in 4-5 Mahi Mahi each throughout the morning and got a kick out of watching them jump and chase the bait while trolling. We ended up putting 4 modest sized mahi in the cooler along with a bonus ‘cuda that hit as we “speed trolled” back to Cozumel. The guys had remembered I had requested a place to take some fresh filets to for lunch and called ahead on our way back in. They recommended the Mahi Mahi Restaurant (fitting name for the morning we had), as they would cook our fresh catch and not swap it for frozen fish as other restaurants are known to do.

We were dropped off at a pier in town where the restaurant owner greeted us. She led us a block from the water with our fresh filets where we enjoyed a PRIVATE lunch with freshly made guac and margaritas. I emphasize “private” because they opened just for us ahead of their normal business hours. They made us ceviche as well as both grilled and fried mahi with our only hours old catch. Following lunch the owner lined up a taxi for us and a short taxi ride later we were back at the cruise port with more than enough time to spare to shop and sight see. With full bellies and smiles on our faces we laughed and talked about the memories made that morning. I can’t recommend this crew enough, they were phenomenal!

We had a great fishing trip, five stars! We booked the ½ day AM trip through “Fishingbooker,” it was super easy; communication was straightforward with Oscar at “Tres Hermanos Cozumel Fishing.” There were five of us: my wife and I, our two children (12y and 16y), and Grandma. Captain Jose and Laduardo were polite and accommodating. They worked to get us on fish and incredibly hard to keep everything in order, bait, lines, landing fish, etc. I mean, they were really on top of things. Everyone caught a fish, and some of us caught multiple fish. We caught Red Snapper (3) and Barracuda (multiple). The Red Snapper Captain Jose filleted for us and recommended a place to have it prepared in town, restaurant “Mahi Mahi”. That was an excellent recommendation as they prepared the fish four ways for us: ceviche, Mayan style, Ajillo, and garlic & butter. All were excellent! On our next trip to Cozumel, we will book again with Oscar at Tres Hermanos Cozumel Fishing, and we will absolutely request Captain Jose and Laduardo again! If you get on their boat, have Laduardo play his playlist, a mix of Bob Marley and 80’s medleys. A perfect day all around.

We had a truly amazing trip. The boat was ready early when we arrived and the captain and mate were personable, professional, friendly, patient, and generous. The captain and mate were clearly experts at what they do. They gave us 100+% all day. These guys want to catch fish for you, not like others who can’t wait to get you back to the dock. We caught multiple big red snapper, baracuda, broke off something even bigger, and had what was likely a marlin striking another bait, and had another half dozen baits bitten off just behind the hook. The mate was constantly checking lines and putting out fresh baits. They took us a long ways out because the fishing was better away from town and were not focused on the clock, bringing us home 2 hours “late” 😀. The mate was great company for me and my teenage children. Created some great memories. Thank you. Chris

Tres Hermanos was ok.  They were nice to us, but they did not ever initiate communication except once at the beginning when they told us that we would be fishing toward the north end of the island.  Other than that, they just silently rigged the lines while we sat on a comfortable bench in the shade on the lower deck listening to our music on their bluetooth speakers.  We enjoyed our time together with family, but the crew did not appear to have any concern whether or not we caught any fish.  They seemed indifferent.  We did end up with one barracuda and a red snapper on our 4 hour excursion which was really fun, but I have been with much more engaging crews that seemed more interested in us having a great time.

This was by far our most fun excursion we had in Cozumel!  The boat was great and had a bathroom on board.  The crew was so nice and friendly.  They had plenty of drinks and at the end clean and cut one of our fish to take to a restaurant in town to eat!  We caught seven Mahi Mahi during our four hour excursion and the crew helped every step of the way.  I was worried four hours would be too long but it flew by!  We had fun the whole time!  We loved going with a small company and crew like this, it was a wonderful experience!
