- Our licensed captain understands the thrill of 'getting on the fish'. Owner/Captain Tyler Hatfield is a seasoned guide who began his career in his home state of Iowa as a hunting guide before moving to our coastal paradise seven years ago. His passion for hunting and fishing dates back to his earliest memories, and owning his own fishing charter has always been a dream. Even on his days off, you'll find him scouting the water for the best spots to catch gamefish like Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and Shark. His personal favorite catch was a 6-foot Blacktip Shark that he caught in the summer of 2022, jumping out of the water multiple times. UpScale Anglers is a family owned business and has carefully chosen our crew to make sure we not only have experience but personality. Our crew has a passion for fishing and welcome the opportunity to share that passion and their experience with you. We strive to make sure each and every customer experiences the thrill of fishing in Galveston and leaves with memories to last a lifetime. - Love throwing baits out, either big baits or small shrimp. Also like throwing a little artificial for flounder as well.
