We had a fun and productive fishing trip. Four of us went out about 20 miles and caught 2 wahoo, 2 snapper, 2 tuna and 5 rainbow runners. Captain Chino and mate were very nice. We met them in the Bay Area next to the marina, where we took a small “taxi” boat out to their boat. The boat was 31’, nothing fancy but worked well for our trip. They filleted the fish as we went. The boat was well equipped and comfortable. We were busy catching fish throughout the morning up to our return. Enjoyed Tuna Sushi on board and had plenty of Mahi-mahi for many remaining nights. As a note English is well spoken!

Chino and his first mate were excellent making us comfortable & very knowledgeable.  We caught red snapper, Jack and rainbow fish. We were hoping to catch more, but we’re very happy with what we caught. Sadly, the rooster fish were not biting. One thing to note is that you must pay with cash for the trip. I misunderstood and thought it was a choice to pay with either cash or credit card but he only takes cash. FYI.  We highly recommend this charter.

Captain and crew were super cool, knowledgeable, and eager to put us on fish the whole time. Checked off a couple bucket list fish with a cubera snapper and some big rooster fish! We suggest Chino and his team for anyone looking for a great experience!

We were fishing for allusive Roosterfish. Chino and his first mate were excellent. We caught 2 little rooster fish right away in which proved to be a difficult day of fishing. Any real fishermen knows that’s why they call it fishing not catching. My wife and I had a blast and would not hesitate to book Chino’s fishing when we return to Costa Rica.
