Chino's Sportfishing 

Jose and Jorge at Chino's were amazing guides. They put us on great fish. Boats in our area came and went but we kept catching fish. God blessed us with great guides. Boat was well kept and safe and Jorge may be the hardest working man I have ever seen. Captain Jose was very friendly and knew that ocean like the back of his hand. 3 generations of fishermen! Even the lunches were prepared with love. My three sons and I had a wonderful experience and we would recommend these guys to everyone. If we ever have the privilege to retun to Costa Rica , we won't go fishing witout Chino's Sportfishing. A++ 🏆 🏆

Hey all We knew this is the edge of seasons and our group was interested in both tuna mahi and bottom fishing. basically any fish we could eat. cap put us on fish immediately. we hit sailfish and got 3 decent size mahi(dorado). we then moved to bottom fishing thats when things got reel busy. we caught a huge amount id beautiful red snapper, grouper, rockfish, and tile fish. it was a great day on the water and both captain and mate far exceeded expectations. Chino and alex are a great team! dont pass them up. english also was great!

At the start, we learned that our original boat and crew would not be taking us out. After a very short time we recognized that Alex and Jorge were excellent replacements. They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We got to our spot and were on the fish in minutes. We hooked a sailfish and the crew talked us through landing it and we were successful. The crew was patient, found another spot and we eventually caught a bigger sailfish. On the way back we saw a pod of Humpback whales and Alex took the time to let us watch them for a few minutes. Alex and Jorge clearly love what they do, they were both excited with fish on and the experience was better for it.

In the 1st 1 1/2 hours we caught 6 bottom fish, half of which were grouper so I was satisfied with some fresh fish for dinner. I suggested we start trolling for the duration of the 5 hours trip. Unfortunately it was a long boat ride with no other fish on the troll. I went with him 3-4 days earlier and we landed a big sail, a big Jack Crevelle and 2 small bonitas. So that was this year’s 2 trips; everyone tried by changing bait, speed and direction. I chose 2 -1/2 day trips this year, my choice might be 1 full day instead so we could have the time to go out further into deep water to improve my odds. I still had two nice days on the pacific.

We went out looking for all different types of species. Ended up hooking into some trigger fish mahi-mahi and I had some really good bites on the bottom overall it was a great day at sea captain and crew were accommodating to all the different types of fishing I wanted to do. We had a great time.

Chinos Great trip with Don Chino and Jorge! The communication before the trip was excellent, and he worked with us to reschedule around bad weather during early season. The crew worked hard to show different presentations throughout the trip. We caught a yellow fin tuna, makerel tuna, and more blackfin tuna than we could count. We finished the day with three beautiful dorados. I’ll be dreaming of this trip for long.

Great time! Wife caught her 1 st fish. They Chino n Jorge faught hard to find us all species possible. We caught almost 1 of everything. Great job Chino n crew !

The boat was well equipped and comfortable. We were busy catching fish throughout the morning up to our return. Enjoyed Tuna Sushi on board and had plenty of Mahi-mahi for many remaining nights. As a note English is well spoken!

Chino and Jose did a great job as our captains for this trip. we had a good fishing location to punch out too in the morning, and we caught a mahi on our first troll. Overall, a great experience.

My son and I had a great trip with Chino. Easy in and out - beautiful scenery. The boy caught two huge Sail Fish - also Tuna and Mahi Mahi. Would definitely recommend.
