Took my nephew and 10 year old son Salmon fishing with Capt Paul Kim and had the best fishing experience ever. Capt Kim and his first mate Zach were the best. They were flexible, patient and taught the boys a lot about fishing which was an added benefit to catching our limit within 1 1/2 hours!! I really wanted a hands on experience for my 10 year old and Nephew and Capt Kim and Zach made sure we had that experience and more. They were patient with our inexperience while being supportive of the two boys at all times. We couldn’t ask for more. Scheduling was super easy and Capt Kim offered multiple suggestions to make sure we had a great experience. He was quick to respond and always seemed focus not on his own plans for us but on what we wanted to experience and how he could get that experience for us. There’s no doubt we will be back and only with Capt Kim. Now we know exactly who to contact when we come back to Seattle.

First and foremost, Captain Paul puts you ON THE FISH.  I caught my limit of Central Puget Sound coho salmon fishing off Richmond Beach, just a short trip from Shilshoal Marina.  Paul has decades of experience fishing the coasts of Washington.
Paul is a great guy, very friendly and engaging, and fantastic teaching kids to fish. I am a Coast Guard Captain, and I have done a lot of charter fishing trips.  Hands down, Paul is the most knowledgeable fisherman I have sailed with regarding the biology, lifecycles and food web of targeted species.  He knows everything there is to know about the local marine life, and it shows in his ability to catch fish. 
Paul had his boat custom built and is state of the art.  You will be impressed with how clean and tidy his boat is, and how efficiently he can rig his lines.  He walks you through every step to make sure you land all the fish you hook.  This is really important when following the barbless hook regulations from Washington Fish and Game.

First time salmon fishing and we had a blast. The weather was perfect and the location is beautiful.

Captain Kim and his deck hand Zach were outstanding! They really showed their experience and shared all of their knowledge and tips to make sure our group of first timers enjoyed the trip. We all caught our limit and no one went home disappointed.

The boat was immaculate and extremely well equipped. I would love to do this again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Captain Kim. First timer or experienced fishermen alike would have a blast.

Our son wanted to experience fishing but we as parents didn’t have any experience fishing. We were so lucky to have Captain Paul referred to us by a friend who is a very experienced fisherman and local restauranteur. Captain Paul’s humor, knowledge and gentle yet thorough instruction put my whole family at ease. Best of all, he gave my kids a very positive and memorable first fishing experience.

His brand new boat is beautiful and decked out with the latest tech and supplies for a successful day of fishing. Captain Paul is great company to have out on the water whether alone or with a group of people. We chose to catch flounder for this first time and we caught a lot. We are looking forward to going out with him again for many more fishing adventures.
