our family of four went on an evening trip from calabash. We spent the first half of the trip trolling and caught dozens of Bonitas and mackerel and the second half we decided to try fishing for a shark. The captain was knowledgeable and flexible to allow us to try different fishing styles during our charter. The first mate, Brian, was very friendly and hands-on assisting us catch several fish. Once back in dock Brian filleted and bagged our fish so we could take them with us. The boat was very clean, had an inside sitting area, a bathroom, and plenty of safety equipment. I would definitely recommend the First Strike charter to family and friends.  Thanks for helping make our vacation fun and successful!

The Caption and first mate, Ryan, were exceptional!!  They take great pride in what they do and it shows. The size of the boat was great, with a cabin providing a/c or heat if needed, a place to get out of the sun or inclement weather and a sizable lavatory. Lucky Strike had more amenities than any oither fishing charter I’ve been on. We had nine family members and friends and there was plenty of room for everyone. We caught 9-10 bonitos, afterward, Ryan expertly cleaned and sliced into fillets. It was fun feeding the scraps to the pelicans on the deck, inluding one-legged Pete! We cooked some of the fillets that evening and they were awesome!  It was a perfect day that will go down in the memory books :)

we had a great day on the water.  Captain ED and first mate Brian were very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining to our 13 and 10 year old.  we immediately left on time and quickly arrived at our spot about 5 to 10miles off the shoreline. we did trolling and bottom fishing.  We caught 9 Bonitos and several bass.  Brian was extremely fun and engaging with our kids and let then be as independent as they wanted but was always there to help when they needed it.  After arriving back on shore ED filleted the catch and my kids had more fun feeding the pelicans.  This is a safe and well run operation led by professionals who enjoy what they do and go above and beyond to ensure kids and families have a great time.  we will definitely be back.  We highly recommend captain Ed and his staff!!!

Upon boarding the captain was there to greet everyone and help us onto the boat. Once everyone was on he introduced himself and his first mate. He wasted no time getting going and we headed out to troll. The first mate was very helpful and explained everything well. He was more than happy to help whenever it was needed. We were able to catch 3 tuna then switched to bottom fishing. Everybody had the opportunity to catch a fish but only 2 keepers from bottom fishing. We all had a great time! Would definitely recomend!

Had a great day out trolling for Bonito.  Captain Ed got us to the spot and First Mate Brian (Mango?) kept the reels set to bring in the fish.  Total we caught 12 Bonito and 2 keeper Sea Bass.  Probably pulled in over 30 sea bass when bottom fishing.  The boat was clean and comfortable.  Definitely want to join this creaw again in the future.
