I started guiding becouse is fishing my life. I love it all , from jigging for amberjacks and kingies, trolling for tuna and game fish , drifting for king mackerel , bottom fishing to trolling for Marlin. And Maputo and Inhaca island have them all.

Inhaca island , Marlin Paradise

We went Ou this day and had an amazing day where we released 2 blue Marlins and 1 black Marlin , all on stand up tackle 80 pound line , we had in Total of 6 Marlin strikes. And a nice big King mackerel of 24 kg wich we caught on the sand banks on the way home with light tackle for our guests to enjoy dinner. It has been now 15 trips in a row catching and releasing Marlins everyday!!!!

Fishing is crazy in Maputo, Mozambique

We did 2 trips 21/03/2015 One for Blue Marlin fishing Wich we raised 6 , had 4 strikes and released 2 250 # blue Marlin, on the way back from the deep we stopped to catch some amberjack and caught a nice amberjack of 18kg and another 3 or 4 of around 7 to 9 kg. Our guests where very happy. The 2nd trip was Bottom fishing, jigging and drifting. I didn't have any clients on this day as it was a Monday , working day for everyone so I decided to take my small boat and my guilty boy and do some nice fishing, We left the port around 9 am and went bottom fishing and catch around 15 nice red Romans to eat with red snapper also. Then with the rising tide went north to one of my secret fishing places Wich I name The beast. This place has made me won lots of completions with the big mackerel , whaoo, nice tuna, all sorts of kingfish and really big Gt so we decided to give it a try, we started jigging and drifting. We catch 13 king mackerel all over 13 kg and the biggest one being 21 kg, We also caught a nice Gt of 32 kg , some other bluffer king fish and yellow tails , and lost a lot of other fish that brake as of. We also caught 5 small yellow fin tuna and 4 skip jacks on the way home. Hope you guys enjoy the report , and hope to see you soon fishing with us. Capt. Richard Martins
