Eric, this 3.3 star review comes as a complete shock. This hurts me. My first ever non-five star review after years of guiding. You thanked me so much at the end of the trip, had a giant smile as you did all-day, and even paid me a generous gratuity. I’m absolutely stunned at your rating.

To start, you booked me at 7:30pm the night before the trip and didn’t ask any questions at all about the trip. This is wildly unusual and I didn’t know Fishing Booker even allowed such a last-minute booking. I have changed that possibility since then as it puts captains in a very rushed situation. You also booked me on a day that the wind was gusting over 30mph! I even responded via both message and phone call within minutes to your booking that was automatically approved and warned you of the severe winds and how that would remove over 90% of our fishing areas. You said you understood and didn’t seem to mind that. I taught you and your son a lot about trout fishing and we shared many great stories and plenty of laughs. When the national weather service issues a small craft advisory inside the bay, it’s not to be taken lightly and the reason why there was only one other charter boat out during spring break. A discounted trip that was booked only hours before and we fished over our 6-hour limit, once again, I am incredibly disappointed and surprised. I apologize for us not catching more fish Eric. I’m just not sure what else I could’ve done besides cancel the trip.
