Dave did an excellent job. Highly experienced with quality boat and fishing gear.  No marlin today but sighted many whales this trip. We took a gamble and only targeted marlin, but we enjoyed the day aboard A’u.

Didn’t get on the Blue Marlins but did get a Wahoo and Spearfish.  Capt Dave was a great host and Capt.  We will definitely book him again the next time and hopefully the Blue Marlins will cooperate!

Took the 7 hour trip and caught the elusive Blue Marlin.  It is incredible to catch one of these especially for the time of year being March 21st.  We had 4 other hits but no other hook ups, one Short-bill Spearfish and a Mahi were 2 of the ones that got away. The Captain is an old salt in a good way he knows his stuff and is personable.  The only room for improvement is to possibly do jigging when trolling is not working.  However, had he been receptive to this -we wouldn’t have caught... Dave was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful and made our first time experience so fun and memorable!  We caught a nice 15lb Ono and almost had a nice Marlin as well!  Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking to have a very easy going but absolutely fun time with a Captain that knows these waters and how to handle first timers!

Captain Dave was so great and really put in effort for us to catch a fish!! He changed lines several times and we finally caught a beautiful Mahi thanks to his efforts. Plus he is very personable and pleasant to be around. We will definitely book Au’ Shucks again when we visit the Big Island again!!
