It was very slow at first, we were fishing. Small fish, that's all that was biting, then we decided to move to another fishing spot, we arrived and started to lay out the fishing lines, 30 minutes later the first mahi mahi bit, about 20 kilos, another one bit, it was big too and so we managed to catch good dorados, very blessed

It was fun. We had to leave the bay to look for mahi-mahi. It started to rain, but nothing dangerous. We continued fishing, moving from different fishing spots, and finally we found them. We managed to catch 9 mahi-mahi. We prepared mahi-mahi sashimi and ceviche. It was delicious. It was a good day. We are blessed.

Poor communication. Unethical management/owners. We should have been notified about poor fishing conditions due to the Red Tide. When our trip was allowed to be extended to full day (to maximize chances to catch fish) they needed to ensure we had a working fish finder, proper number of live bait, and the tackle to do the job. We weren’t even allowed to touch a pole once! There was no fishing, just babysitting and IF a fish bit we would have been handed the poles like children. One of the owner’s falsely told the crew we wanted to fish in the harbor too - false. We never once said that and that would have been disastrous with the red algae in full bloom. Essentially, greed got the better of the operator / they didn’t give the crew proper notice, wanted us to only fish in the harbor (to reduce fuel costs presumably), didn’t repair their fish finder (cheapness), didn’t even have enough poles to fish with properly or tackle to do any casting!! And only 4 bait for an extended 8 hour trip??? Outrageous. And this was to be for my dad’s 77th birthday and a special trip and the whole point of taking a trip to Mexico. A terrible experience! The owner was full of excuses and shifting blame to me and his crew. Trying to say his crew didn’t come prepared and we extended it to full day without enough notice. But he accepted the extension to get more money and it’s HIS RESPONSIBILITY to make sure he has a prepared crew and the proper tackle and equipment for a fishing trip. He didn’t have to accept the extension. And if we had opted to keep our 4 hour trip we would have only had time to fish the harbor where the Red Tide would have meant no success anyway (which he should have told us about). Even worse, he argued and degraded his crew in front of us. They were the best part - they were not given the resources to be successful but tried their absolute hardest to catch fish. Not catching fish wasn’t the issue (as fishermen we have all been skunked), being lied to and not given the resources to have a successful trip is - we didn’t even have a chance to touch a pole the whole trip! The only positive was I was refunded almost half my money but if the operator thought that was enough “bribe” me to silence, he was wrong. I don’t want anyone else booking a special fishing trip to make the same mistake I did.

Don’t lie, sir, and they shouldn’t be allowed to drink alcohol on cruise ships, much less as drunk as you got to the boat. We shouldn’t have seen you get on board like that, but you learn from mistakes. At least you should have a little respect for your dad, who is a very old man who barely walked ,Sir, your reservation was for 4 hours of fishing and you decided to extend the trip.
You insisted a lot as I personally told you that we couldn’t because we had another reservation and I told you that we were not ready with the bait that we only had enough bait for the 4-hour trip that we had reserved even so you continued to insist so that you clearly agreed with us that we told you that normally we always prepared ahead of time but that we would do what we could to find the fish and the funniest thing of all was that when we had been fishing for 7 hours you started looking for excuses to say that you were not happy and wanted your money back. and we were not arguing, we were talking and laughing about how after you almost finished the trip you wanted your money back and we decided to give you half since it is fair since you almost finished your trip of 8 hours., and look at the red tide, no. It’s something we can control, it’s part of the climate. You were very drunk and I still respected you, we are worried about your dad, but don’t worry, this won’t happen to anyone else because I won’t bring a drunk client on board, our reviews are among the best on this page, they are more good than bad. supports us.
