Jorge and David what’s the best they put us on the fish and kept on trying to get them we caught seven tuna that day he told us that the fish wasn’t biting in the bay that we had scheduled so he recommended going out in deeper water had the best time they were very good. Everything was great will do it again with this company

The fishing was slow today. Only caught one Spanish mackerel. Captain warned me before we went that this was the slow season. That said, the boat was in great condition. Captain and mate were friendly. They made ceviche with the fish we caught and we enjoyed a beer as well. Bonus — we saw a late season whale and a sea turtle too.

Jorge is very very good at what he does.  We hammered massive yellowtail jack for over 90 minutes. One after another after another. We only decided to stop because our arms were tired and the girls wanted to snorkel. Also, we had some close whale sightings both on the way out, and the way back. We would definitely book the Valeria I again.

Sometimes the best advice is the simplest. “enjoy your fish”- Captain Jorge. Simple words, but it seemed to be his overall philosophy. We had a slow start to the day but Captain Jorge and Eduardo never gave up, keeping spirits up and eventually getting us some great action with some fierce Jack Crevalles. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Captain Jorge again. He’s an amazing captain and with him in your corner you’ll have your best shot at getting your dream fish.

We had heard from another boat that for the best fishing, extend the 4 hour trip to 6 hours so to catch fish near the Marietas islands.  The captain quickly agreed.  The three of us caught at least 4 albacore tuna each, and so our family of 8 had tuna all week!  The captain helped us with technique and was patient with us when needed.  The equipment was great.  A Great day overall, and id recommend 6 hours for a higher probability of success.  Finally the whale watching was an extra bonus!
