My siblings and I booked this trip and it was a beautiful day. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch any fish (just our bad luck) but we had tons of fun trying! We did get some crab (yum!) and prawns. The captain Don, was so informative and excellent. We really appreciated him! It was a day overall and would highly recommend these guys! Thanks so much!

Although it was Thanksgiving weekend, the weather gods were looking out for us. 15 degrees and 8 km/h winds. Made for a picture perfect morning. Within 20 minutes of leaving the dock, we had a crab trap dropped and lines in the water. We knew the fishing was going to be slower that time of year and it was. My wife and I went out with Don on our honeymoon and it was an absolute blast. Don and Chris went above and beyond to make it an awesome experience and it sure was. Don was our captain and he’s a fantastic guy. Salt of the earth dude and extremely knowledgeable. Sounds like Chris is the same way! We caught salmon, crabs and we saw wildlife we were hoping to see on our trip. Seals, humpback whales, bald eagle, and at the end of the night we saw a Sitka black tail buck at the point. Richard was our captain and guide.  He is an extremely knowledgeable fellow who has grown up on the waters around Sooke and knows the habits of fish very well.  The day was glorious fairly warm as we started out with an hazy orange sunrise.  Herds of deer on the early morning streets.  Three seals on the docks as we approached the Rising Tide.  Fishing was light.  We had a very nice wild coho that we had to turn back, but got a very nice medium size Chinook.  We lost one other nice one... My Dad, Mom, little sister and I did a 4 day trip to sooke, we had planed to go fishing two weeks in advance where our capitalina cancelled on us a couple hours before departure. I reached out to Chris and he responded within minutes that he would be happy to help us get out in the water before we left, and about two hours later we were on a beautiful boat on the ocean.
