What an incredible start to the season

Fishing has been absolutely off the charts so far this year! Early season runs have been strong with feisty salmon and some absolutely beautiful halibut. Our guides have been having an amazing time with some fantastic guests and a bunch of first timers!

We had a visit while drifting and soaking the prawn and crab pots today. Each and every day beautiful BC amazes me. We are ao grateful to live and play in sunch an amazing part of the world!

Don was an awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. The boat and gear are in great shape and well maintained. We unfortunately didn’t catch any fish, but the season was a bit off for Halibut, Pacific Salmon were closed and new lingcod restrictions meant we couldn’t fish in the same spot for both. We did however catch crab and pulled some prawn traps that were plentiful and got to keep the catch as well. We were not disappointed it was a great afternoon! Would recommend.

We went on our first charter and had a blast! Our guide knew exactly what he was doing, taught us some cool things and we caught great fish & crabs! The experience was seamless from start to finish as Chris made sure we had all the information before hand! The boat was very nice and he kept it clean the whole time! Overall a great experience, would definitely do it with them again!

This was my first time sport fishing. TBH, I was a bit anxious. Don, our guide, was polite, fun, knowledgeable, patient, etc. Husband, not a newbie, also had an excellent experience. We learned about down riggers. Caught our max of coho! If/when we come back to BC, I would make a point of booking with Rising Tide Coastal Adventures.

Our captain Don was very family friendly and helpful in making it a memorable experience for us. He took time to explain what he was doing and answer all the questions! We loved hearing about his experience on the water and with wildlife. We saw whales, seals, otters, eagles, crabs (which we ate that day!), and lots of fish. Highly recommend!

Don was knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. We didn’t catch any fish sadly but the weather was beautiful and we had the best time! Going home with the legal limit of crab each doesn’t hurt either. Thanks to Chris and Don and the rest of rising tides for making it an awesome experience!
