What an incredible start to the season

Fishing has been absolutely off the charts so far this year! Early season runs have been strong with feisty salmon and some absolutely beautiful halibut. Our guides have been having an amazing time with some fantastic guests and a bunch of first timers!

The Captain and Crew were great. Very professional and friendly. Our group only caught 2 fish and did not catch anything that they were able to keep which was disappointing. Overall everyone has a fun time though and said they would be happy to try this Carter again.

Hi Lauren thank you for your review. Yes July is a challenging time for retention. Unfortunately the Department of Fisheries and Oceans had regulated the at the time only hatchery coho are allowed to be kept and hatchery marked Chinook in a very small area more than 20 mins away. It’s really tough on a half day charter to target multiple species such as halibut as they are predatory and will actually track the scent. We look forward to having you out again when all the species are open,... More
