That’s a lot to go wrong in just 4 hours. But I will cover some of your points. I waited to respond to this review until I was on the Boat. The motors are diesel but I am here now and they smell no different than normal. If the wind is breezy and blow the exhaust into back deck you would smell it. But I have not had anyone else said a word about it. Yes I will agree that Mark and Gabe do not need to work together and do not any more. Mark did not handle his frustration with Gabe very well. But the playing on phone and not playing attention caused that frustration. So that is fixed. We have other crew members that can do the job. Fishing can be slow some times and you can only go some many places in a half day. If you had caught 40 I am sure this would have been a different review. But I hate you did not enjoy your fishing trip and hope you did enjoy your vacation to P.C.B. Thank you.

Well I hate you did not enjoy your trip. The bite was not what is was the day before. I called Mr. Becotte the day before his trip. I went over options to this trip. His request was to catch bigger fish on his 4 hour. I told him that King Mackerel had not showed up yet. His options were to try and catch a Shark or do some inshore bottom fishing for action. Or stay close and work the spoons and get action and some Spanish Mackerel for dinner like the boat had just done that day. We went with that plan. The bite was slow. Make no excuses. They tried the Bay, and along the Beach. Then re rigged and tried King Mackerel in the Gulf. It was a tuff bite. Again make no excuses. You can only do so much in 4 Hours. So going the scores in the review I get the low score on the overall experience. But am puzzled at Boat Score. The Boat got a engine rebuilt and a complete paint job over the winter. Every review since this work the Boat has been given a 5 in this category. I understand it was a tuff day but really. We have overcome Hurricane Michael, COVID, and now poor economic times. We will keep offering Summer Time 4 Hours as they are Good for Family Budgets. And do the Best we can each Trip.

To update this review Mr. Tholen DID receive his refund. I made a couple attempts to email Mr. Tholen and my Dad tried to call him but we both were unsuccessful in contacting him. So either way he got his refund. I am updating the policy if something goes wrong mechanically during a trip. In this case no one was ever at any risk at any time during the Charter. One motor did shut down and has been fixed. And they caught some fish. Hopefully Mr. Tholen’s next charter will be a good one. It obviously will not be with us but good luck to them.
