4 hour fishing charter in the morning on a Saturday. Lots of action and clients went home happy with lots of fish for dinner.

The Salmon are HOT right now!

Lately, we have been catching large chinook (sping) salmon at French creek. Today we had a trip from 8am to 12pm and caugnt this massive 90cm 30lb salmon.

Chinook size limit lifted

Been catching 85cm chinooks lately. Size limit has been lifted! Two chinooks per person.

Coho were plenty at french creek.

The waters of french creek bc were perfect today. Clear skies and calm waters. I counted a total of 52 boats out today between 4-9 pm. The fish were biting hard! Caught and released two bass, 4 wild salmon and kept 6 coho and 1 pink between the group. It seems the fish are easier to come by in the afternoon.

We went with Jonathan and he was very friendly and we had a great and safe trip with two kids 3 and 6. He patiently answered all our fishing questions. The fishing was slow for the first couple hours (but we saw a whale!), however we still managed to land 3 salmon and we did lose a few. We’re happy that Jonathan let us take the rod ourselves when there was fish on and showed us how to set the hook. Based on our experience not all charters do. Sometimes they set the hook for you. It was a great morning for limiting out! While there was a little chop on the water on the way out, things calmed down and we had a terrific time. Saw humpback whales breeching and finning all morning. We even had a two double headers and caught our limit by 11 AM. Captain was very knowledgeable, positive and survived a trip with 2 crazy seniors. We will do this again!

We had a wonderful day on the water, although we didn’t catch any Salmon large enough to bring home. The Crab Trap provided more fruitful with a pair of good size Red Rock Crab that were delicious. Captain Jeremy was great, and we enjoyed the trip. While it may have been nice to have brought home a nice Chinook, we all had fun and would like to come again!
