He is well known for his great backwater fishing, as well as his offshore abilities. Tripp is a 'chip off the old block' and is sure to be a fun time for you and your group.

    Captain Tripp is a true pro

    The weather was brutal all week so we knew what we were getting into. But despite this, Captain Tripp worked his tail off to put us on the fish. His effort and attitude was tremendous. Clearly communicated everything we were doing and way. The guy really knows the Ocean Isle waterways. He really went out of his way to set up different rigs in a lot of different places. Once it was clear they werent biting in a spot, we were on the move. We hunted the reds and caught several really nice specks and black drum. His efforts really saved the outing in what was certainly a gloomy situation weather wise. I can’t say every captain would have done the same. Ocean Isle is a great location and we’ll definitely go back out with Captian Tripp in better conditions.

    Captain Tripp Hooks is back and as strong as ever!

    Half Day Trip (AM) • 4 adults

    We had anxiously awaited Tripp's return to the water and he did not disappoint. As in the past his pursuit of fish was relentless. While we started off a bit slow we ultimately landed several red fish and had a wonderful overall experience. We'll be back for more charters with Tripp!

    Great trip

    3 Hour Trip – Evening Fishing • 2 adults

    Captain Tripp worked hard to put us on some fish, even with the bad weather conditions. Had a great time and would use Captain Tripp again!!

What's biting with Captain Hook Outdoors in Ocean Isle Beach

The beginning of fall means that inshore fishing is becoming the main attraction again with large Redfish starting to move to the backwaters. This doesn't mean the end of offshore action, however, since Wahoo, Tuna, and others are still around.
