The weather cooperated, and the water was perfect; Captain Barry truly knows his craft and worked all the magic he could muster. We were there to gain knowledge of salmon and steelhead fishing and we got that plus more! We are definitely going with him again!

Captain is very experienced and even in bad days you still have bites. I’ve lost my chance with a steelhead but hopefully next time I will be more lucky! Other than that, was really a great trip and i would definitely do that again if I will have a chance…

I learned more about fishing on this trip than on any prior trip.Barry is a professor of this river and of fishing ! He patiently showed us how to cast and troll, explained several different lures and methods, and helped us understand where fish are and why. The incredible beauty and serenity of the river was alone worth the trip…and we caught and brought home fish ! I can’t wait to go back.

Barry was amazing. We booked a half day trip. We are true novices but Barry was a wonderful teacher with tons of patience and encouragement. He’s super nice and extremely knowledgeable about fishing and fishing on the Sandy River. Although we did not catch anything, we had several bites and still had an amazing trip. We highly recommend Barry for any level of fishing.

The captain did everything he could to help us catch fish, but sometimes you just can’t .  if you caught fish every single time he went fishing it’d be called catching and not Fishing lol
