Five of us went out with Captain John, including one six-year-old. We all had very little or no knowledge or experience. John carefully explained the timetable and his plan to get us to the best spots.  He got us set up with our rods, baited them, and gave us beginners tips on how to use them. Great communication throughout. Captain John paid close attention to the weather, tides and previous days results. He guided us to the reef where we had several catches. His first mate was great, ensured we had bait and excellent “presentation” for the fish. Captain John is simply awesome to talk with and always had a back up plan. Changed up our bait a few times and within minutes we had bites. I’m looking forward to our next trip in 2026.

We had a great trip with John and his first mate Clayton. We originally planned on doing the in-shore fishing, but John suggested that we try near-shore fishing because he had a great haul the day before. We are SO glad we took his suggestion because we had an amazing day. Within the first 2 hours of trolling, we had at least 20 catches. We caught mostly bonito, a few blue fish, and a 2-foot tuna. I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful fishing trip. The whole family had a wonderful experience, enjoying both the boat ride and your kind accommodations. Captain John was great! My boys enjoyed every minute of it. We loved the ride out, all the fish we caught and the ride back! Can’t wait for the next one
