Captain Charlie and his first mate Dria made for an awesome day of fishing on a last-minute booking. I’ve never been on a fishing charter, so I didn’t know what to expect, but Captain Charlie sure did set the standard. Capt Charlie was quick to move locations to find the bite. After some quick moves, he found the fish and had us catching nice-sized sea trout and shark one after another before taking us into the backwater to go for big snook, a request I made in the comments on FishBooker. In short order, I was hooked up on my personal biggest snook.

The whole time, Captain Charlie and Dria made sure we had everything we needed and surprised us with excellent pictures and videos of the action. At the end of the trip, Capt. Charlie expertly filleted our catches and packed them up for us to eat later that night. What a great experience with a great captain and first mate, Dria!

This was our first time out with Capt. Charlie and the experience exceeded our expectations. He was very attentive and hands-on, making sure our live bait was ready, scouting fish, moving accordingly, etc. His first mate, Andrea, was an excellent addition to our trip. We caught snapper, snook, sea trout, shark and 1 stubborn catfish. Lol

He recommended a local restaurant, Mudbugs, to prepare our fresh fish.which was amazing!!

Side note, Captain Charlie and Andrea came over to Mudbugs to drop off my daughter’s sunglasses. Truly class acts!
