I guess I didn’t do my research in picking out a specific type of charter. I thought we would troll to a spot and then drop lines but we only trolled. We did catch a bunch of bonitas, Spanish mackerels & blues. Was a good trip and would definitely do again but will be doing a day trip vs a 4hr trip next time.

Sadly the fish were not biting much but a few were caught and one was big enough to keep! Great experience and would do again!

Had an awesome trip with Captian Will and deck hand Larry “aka: Hermie” on the Marlin Madness. They worked hard to make sure we got on some fish and worked hard to keep our lines in the water. Great job Will!!! Thanks for a great trip!!! Most definitely will use again.

Capt Will and Hermie were excellent all the way around and we’d love to fish with them again. The weather was a little sketchy the morning we had planned to go out and Capt Will was cautious and willing to rearrange our trip time so that we had a better experience. Hermie even took care of our poor seasick Nana by keeping her with a cold towel for her neck:) We highly recommend Great Escape Charters!

Went with my two oldest.  14 and 17.  Met with stale alcohol on the breath and no other way to say it but rude captain out of the gate. He felt my son could have boarded the boat better.  He was given no instructions or guidance.  He is not a boater routinely like me.  Ok no problem.  I am a safety first kind of person.  Master diver, instrument pilot amongst many other technical and safety conscious activities that my kids and I participate in routinely.  There was a lesson for my son to be had about boarding the boat gently and without jumping.  Slip risk and all.  Totally agree.  But the way it was handled was not good.  Made everyone on the boat feel uncomfortable including his deck hand. 
I am disappointed to have my children see this type of behavior and proud of them for not responding in kind to such behavior.  His deck hand George was pretty good.  Switching up baits, seldom did I wait for a hook to be baited. 
I don’t care that we only caught a few barely legal fish.  That’s just fishing anywhere anytime.  What I care about was service from the captain.  If you choose this captain and boat be sure to consider leaving the kids at home, what a bummer experience for an expensive 6 hours on the water.
