- Background
- At the age of 21, I fished the Florida Keys with my own commercial boats, ranging from a 16' vessel to a 43' diesel-powered fishing machine. I've come up against a huge variety of species, including Goliath, Snowy, and Black Grouper, Yellowtail Snapper, and plenty more. I then moved back to New York state to become a charter fisherman. I really enjoy taking people out and teaching them my skills, as well as learning some of their tricks! We troll, drop on Trout in up to 180 feet of water, as well as going other freshwater favorites such as Smallmouth Bass, Perch, Walleye, and Tiger Musky.
- Techniques
- Dropping, bottom fishing, trolling, and live bait fishing. My customers' preferred type of fishing is dropping for Trout from 20' to 180' of water for the monsters! It is not uncommon to catch up to 50 fish doing that, practicing catch and release, of course. Most people love eating Skaneateles Lake fish – it's one of the cleanest of the "Finger Lakes" in the NY state area. Our Walleye fishing is done on Lake Oneida. We also fish for Walleye, along with Tiger Musky, on Otisco Lake, and we also catch Walleye on Skaneateles Lake.
