I booked a trip with another captain a few months ago for a graduation trip for my 3, 18 yo sons and their older brother . Everyone was super excited about fishing and the beach. The nameless captain replied by email briefly after booking so when we got here, I messaged him that we were here and looking forward to the trip in a couple of days and asked a couple of basic questions to prepare.  Nothing!  I thought ok, maybe he’s busy.  So the afternoon of the day before i messaged him again. We received a fishing booker generic message that the trip had been canceled due to mechanical problems at 10:15 pm the night of the trip. I search frantically that night until midnight for another charter. Most said that you can request and the captain will get back within 24 hrs.  I saw capt mikes charter and it looked promising so i put in a request.  At 7:00 am i had a reservation and he personally called me at 8:00 am.  Great experience and the first mate Robert was great also. He put us on the fish all day and I would use him again. Thanks Capt Mike for making a graduation trip very memorable for me and my sons.

We had a great time with Captain Mike.  We did a 6-hour AM tour.  Our group consisted of a group of 12-year-olds and 17-year-olds.  The captain was very organized and communicative prior to and on the day of our charter.  We first caught a bunch of hard-fighting amberjack.  Then, we bottom-fished and caught a bunch of snappers, sand perch, triggerfish, etc.  The boat was clean and well-equipped.  The deckhand Robert was very attentive and worked great with the kids.  Gorgeous day, plenty of fish, and a great time for all.  We would definitely book with Captain Mike again.

We went on a four hour trip. We caught a lot of fish, nothing huge, but constantly reeled in two at a time. We did get a lizard fish and a flounder among the trigger fish and snapper. Of course, this review doesn’t need to focus on the fish because the crew can only control that to a point. The crew were friendly and knowledgeable. They educated us about the species of fish. They helped keep us baited and took the fish off the hooks. We had a great time. Next time, we will take a longer trip to go out farther and explore more.
