Matt is a solo guide on a smaller ship.
He will customize the trip based on conditions.  We did a 4 hour trip and struggled to find fish, Matt kept searching, dedicated to find anything.  We eventually hit a pretty large skipjack tuna much to the delight of my kids.  Matt cut it up, bagged it, and even provided some ice.  Matt was an incredible guide working to ensure comfortableness of everyone on the boat. We had an unforgettable time today with Captain Matt on our fishing charter! As a family of four, it was the perfect mix of adventure, fun, and relaxation. Captain Matt was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the fish, but also super patient and great with our kids. He made sure everyone had a chance to catch something and made the whole trip feel personal and exciting.

The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and we felt safe and taken care of from start to finish. Whether it was reeling in fish, learning cool tips, or just enjoying the beautiful scenery, every moment was a blast.

It was a windy and rainy day, and the water was super choppy. I had my wife and four kids on the boat and after about 30 minutes my wife and daughter started throwing up from how rough the water was so Captain Matt turned around and dropped them off back at the van. The other four of us went back out to fish and ended up catching all kinds of things. We caught a big ol’ ladyfish, trumpet fish, trigger fish, lizard fish,.goat fish. We were soaking wet, but Matt kept our lines in the water and we had a great time catching. Highly recommend this charter if you’re wanting to catch fish. Will definitely be hitting up Captain Matt again when we come back next time.

This charter has one of the nicest guy you could ever ask for as your captain. Full of knowledge, experience and kindness, my wife got sea sick and he did everything he could for her, all the time keeping me with plenty of action. I caught a beautiful blue green snapper,  sorry I’m not sure how to pronounce the hawaiian name, on top of that I had plenty of action, just missed a sword fish, mahi-mahi and not sure what hit my bait but it bit my line clean off. This took place on a not so good of a day, it was beautiful and alot of whales and action but it was a very rough sea that day, so if captain Matt can find the fish 🐟 on a bad day, I can hardly wait to come back on a good day. Had a great time Matt THANKS FOR EVERYTHING ESPECIALLY THE EXTERA HOUR U KEPT US FISHING.

It was my kids’ first fishing trip, and my father-in-law’s first in years. Captain Matt made us feel welcome and even though we didn’t catch much it was still a great morning! We don’t blame the crew for lack of catch, sometimes the ocean gives and sometimes it doesn’t. He even invited us to go out again for a HUGE discount because we didn’t catch much. We would 100% recommend Captain Matt and we would book again!
