This time of year we have live bait that we catch for bottom fishing and live bait fishing at the buoys. These are the five hour pelagic charters that take more time to catch the bait and make the 12 mile run to the buoys. Bottom fishing is closer to shore targeting snapper and jacks. The Sunset tour is just that enjoying the sunset while fishing. The longer charters= bigger fish. Aloha.

unforgettable trip

Captain Matt is an amazing captain, he definitely knows what he is doing. He is full of knowledge and doesnt mind sharing. We were a party of four(two adults and two kids). We knew it’s fishing and not catching, not a guarantee that we will catch fish. He did not waste time to get us on the fish. He was very thoughtful/mindful of our 11yo and 9yo. Both of our kids were abled to reel in a mahi mahi each. We saw some dolphins, lots of flying fish and some sharks feeding. We had hooked up with something big, but it got away. At the end of our trip he cleaned and filet our fish, we’re having fish tacos tonight. Now we have stories to share with friends and family thanks to Captain Matt. This is by far the best fishing charter we’ve been on so far on the islands. We will book him again the next time we return. Thank you so much!

Targeted fish not biting, but made up for with a great captain and vines

Wahoo and Mahi trolling the ledge!! on August 14, 2025 • 5 adults

Me and my group of friends went on a 4 hour mahi mahi and wahoo trolling trip. Even though we were unlucky with our trolling, Captain Matt had us change to bottom fishing and guided us through the experience with patience and care. In the end, we ended up catching a 25lb green job fish with a 15lb green job fish right after. It was clear throughout the trip that Captain Matt wanted to ensure that our group had a good time and he absolutely did so thanks to his great vibes and decision making on the water. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a fishing charter of any experience level.

Trolling and whale watching ! Fun on January 10, 2026 • 2 adults

Wwe caught a few fish but the highlight was the whale watching. We got close to countless humpbacks, big and small. It was great to be within 100 yards of many and listen to their underwater songs with the equipment that was on board Captain Matt and his deckhand, Cortnee, were great company and very hospitable Family comes in next month and we will book again.

Best VIP Charter In Hawaii

Night Bottom Fishing Adventures! on December 6, 2025 • 2 adults

Captain Matt and his first mate were absolutely fantastic. They tailored the tour perfectly to our schedule and made the whole experience seamless. We caught plenty of fish but chose to keep only two. Since the action was nonstop, Captain Mike even extended the trip a bit longer so we could keep enjoying ourselves. The outing was short and sweet. He also cleaned and filleted the fish for us, which was a great touch. I’d give them a solid 10/10—highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed with their service.

Couldn’t imagine a better trip for my wife and 10 and 12 year okd kiddos

Captain Matt probided ab amazing trip for our family. We quickly snagged a nice sized Bonito, cruised by a Galapagos Shark thrashing around in a feeding frenzy and then hooked onto the first of FIVE gorgeous Magi Mahi’s. Captain Matt let the kids take the wheel on a couple trolls and knew where to go and how to make a very memorable experince. We will definetly be boasting to friends and family about tgis incredible experience and will be booking another trip next time we visit the North Shore.
