This time of year we have live bait that we catch for bottom fishing and live bait fishing at the buoys. These are the five hour pelagic charters that take more time to catch the bait and make the 12 mile run to the buoys. Bottom fishing is closer to shore targeting snapper and jacks. The Sunset tour is just that enjoying the sunset while fishing. The longer charters= bigger fish. Aloha.

Targeted fish not biting, but made up for with a great captain and vines

Me and my group of friends went on a 4 hour mahi mahi and wahoo trolling trip. Even though we were unlucky with our trolling, Captain Matt had us change to bottom fishing and guided us through the experience with patience and care. In the end, we ended up catching a 25lb green job fish with a 15lb green job fish right after. It was clear throughout the trip that Captain Matt wanted to ensure that our group had a good time and he absolutely did so thanks to his great vibes and decision making on the water. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a fishing charter of any experience level.

We (2 men (44) and out boys 2 (14) loved the expedition on the boat with Captain Matt! The communication was excellent from the original booking until the time we stepped off the boat, back on shore. We discussed the different options of the 4 hour excursion prior and made adjustments due to weather conditions, the day of. It was very apparent that Captain Matt had experience as both a boat driver & locator of fish. We all caught fish, but my two friends had never fished off shore and Capt. Matt walked through the casting process for them and they each enjoyed bringing up reef fish. You will enjoy your time with Capt. Matt.

Really cool experience from start to finish. Captain Matt was great he showed me the entire process from start to finish making the whole charter super immersive. Rigging up lines, handling the boat, scanning for fish letting me know what to look for. In the end we were pateint and diligent enough to reel in a 200+ lb Marlin! Highly recommend Captain Matt for North Shore immersive fishing experiences!

Couldn’t imagine a better trip for my wife and 10 and 12 year okd kiddos

Captain Matt probided ab amazing trip for our family. We quickly snagged a nice sized Bonito, cruised by a Galapagos Shark thrashing around in a feeding frenzy and then hooked onto the first of FIVE gorgeous Magi Mahi’s. Captain Matt let the kids take the wheel on a couple trolls and knew where to go and how to make a very memorable experince. We will definetly be boasting to friends and family about tgis incredible experience and will be booking another trip next time we visit the North Shore.

Matt is a solo guide on a smaller ship. He will customize the trip based on conditions. We did a 4 hour trip and struggled to find fish, Matt kept searching, dedicated to find anything. We eventually hit a pretty large skipjack tuna much to the delight of my kids. Matt cut it up, bagged it, and even provided some ice. Matt was an incredible guide working to ensure comfortableness of everyone on the boat. Thanks again for the trip!
