After picking up a few mahi on live bait near a FAD (Fishing Aggregating Device), we headed back toward the harbor to drop off our guest. On the way in, we switched it up โ€” fast trolling at 10 knots with lures. Suddenly, boom โ€” hookup! A fat 100 lb yellowfin smashed the spread, and Mason was loving every second of the fight. A true trophy fish and a moment to remember.

After a slow start to the morning, we managed to land a solid solo wahoo while trolling offshore. Just as we were about to call it a day, I noticed a strong mark on the fishfinder โ€” thought it might be a marlinโ€ฆ but surprise! We hooked into a 100 lb yellowfin tuna in the last 10 minutes. What a way to end the trip โ€” no complaints here! ?
