Kent has been fishing Lake Superior and the surrounding area since 2002. He has worked for years as a first mate for some of the most respected captains in the area. He got his captains license and started FishNorthMN with Captain Jordan Korzenowski in 2016. Kent is very passionate about learning new techniques and spots to become the most efficient and productive captain possible. He works with a large network of fellow guides and fisherman to make sure he stays on the hottest bite at all times. When not running charters he is most often exploring new waters or creating new spoons and flies at his shop.

    Great fishing trip

    Excellent experience despite the initial less than ideal meteo conditions. Captain Kent is extremely professional and we never had any doubt that we were in steady hands. The fishing was fantastic and Capt Kent and his mate Sam were engaged in explaining all that was happening. They are also enjoying fishing which adds to the experience. Greatly reccomended

    sons first time on a charter and the captain went out of his way to make sure my son would want to go again , he got on the fish and my sons arm was tired there whole time !

Fishing has continued to be steady for Captain Kent as we get into July. Were seeing a nice mix of Trout and Salmon with a few Walleyes mixed in. The average size has been great with some really nice salmon hitting the deck!

Early season action!

The ice is starting to retreat in the Duluth area and our season is starting to get underway! Boats have been getting a mixed bag of Salmon, Rainbows, and Lake Trout. Conditions are looking good for an early start to our Charter fishing season!

Bumpy Seas, but hot fishing!

We've been on the water all week despite the NE winds that have been pounding Duluth all week. The waves have been big but the fish haven't seemed to mind. We've been fishing close to town and still getting a nice mix of Lake Trout and Salmon. We've been getting most of the fish on the surface with bright colors working best. It looks like the wind should switch early next week and things should get really good! We also spent a couple hours trolling the bay and have found good walleye action which should continue with good reports still coming upstream.

Hot fishing in Duluth right now!

After a few days of heavy north east winds we were able to get back on the water today! We found good temps and lots of fish close to town and sent a bunch of clients home with a ton of fresh lake trout and salmon. We're still finding a nice mixed bag of Lakers, Cohos, and Kings. We expect this hot fishing to continue well into June!

Ice is finally out!

I just got word today that our dock at Lakehead Marina has been put in, meaning our season is officially underway! There is still some ice floating around and the water temps are very cold, but that won't stop us from getting after some early season Trout and Salmon! The bite has been hit and miss but some nice cohos have been reported in the past couple days.
