- My background comes from commercial fishing. I am what you would call a local yokel (native) to the Gulf breeze area even though I didn't get to live on the water. My father definitely raised me on the water – I spent most of my summers on the back of a commercial fishing boat. That was my summer camp for 15 years! Then, I found myself on a charter boat as a deckhand and decided that I could make a better future for my family and myself by putting more effort into the charter fishing business.
