Captain Yancey took great care of two inexperienced fishers— teaching technique, overseeing our fishing to optimize potential and spending time in the best fishing holes. Captain took special care of two novice fishermen. My 12-year-old son caught 2 wild steelhead, both of which put on a fantastic fight!— the largest steelhead captain said he’d seen all season! Great trip over the rogue river, I went with my dad and we have a great time, captain Wancey put a lot of effort into the experience and it showed. I would definitely book this again and recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience on the river!

This was a great trip! My dad and I booked the trip for our first time salmon fishing on the Rogue River and Yancey did an incredible job. He’s extremely personable and willing to do whatever it takes to safely put you in position to catch a fish, and we caught an incredible one! I highly recommend booking Osprey’s Catch if you are a beginner fisher looking to learn a few techniques and for more advanced fisherman if you want Yancey to expertly navigate you down the Rogue River for a day!...
