Kingfish are biting

Had a great day on the water. In the morning we had several Kingfish on board. The afternoon brought good size red Grouper. All caught between 5-9 miles out of Wiggins Pass.

Awesome Summer Fishing

It's been an eventful week on the water for Smokin' Hooks. The waters have been relatively calm and the storms have kept to the later afternoon to provide a full day of fishing. It's been hot out there but we keep plenty of ice and waters on board to stay cool and the cover on the boat provides for nice shade. There have been some nice Groupers coming in right around the 8 mile mark this week. We're seeing more keepers with the warm waters and the regular abundance of Snapper with an occasional Barracuda. On a shark trip last Monday we brought in 5 nice size sharks including an 8 footer. Most important, every trip has brought lasting memories to families and fishing friends across the U.S.

Eight foot Tiger Shark

Mar 31, 2016 Naples

Started the day catching Lane Snapper, Grunts, and some Grouper. The bite really took off when when we threw big cut bait out. A seven foot Hammerhead came up for a taste. We then hooked up with a eight foot Tiger Shark which took close to two hours to get in. Tight Lines.
