Today was my first sport fishing trip ever. Thought we’d do a half day to ease into it. Mike was thorough and well equipped. Cobia are in season in the Chesapeake Bay, so we headed out to get some. They were reluctant to play at first, so we trolled for mackerel and secured 4 little beauts. Finally spotted some Cobia and Mike and his mate helped us secure a cool 52”-er. My girlfriend and I took an 8 hour trip to catch some cobia and whatever else was biting. We had a great time and Mike and his mate Wally were extremely entertaining and made the trip a lot of fun! The morning started kinda slow because of poor tide conditions, but they always made sure we were having fun. We ended up going sight fishing for cobia instead of chumming. We had a great time with Captain Mike and Wally! We thought we were going to be unlucky since our trip was for four hours and we didn’t catch any fish. However, Captain Mike was very nice and kept us out longer without charging extra and he was able to snag a huge Cobia for us. Thank you so much and we will use his services again! We highly recommend to all of our family and friends!

Our day started out with a run to VA Beach looking for Cobia.  Well they weren’t there.  But we ran into schools of big mackerel.  We trolled and got 10 nice ones in the boat.  Captain Mike said you guys want to try them on light tackle. And when we did it was fish on and on and on.  We brought in 20 more 16-20+”.  Capt Mike and Layne said let’s go find some Cobia.  And he did we got 2 keepers and alot of fun catching small ones.  Looking forward to a couple of 2 day trips next spring...
