I took my youngest on a half-day trip with Captain Mike and First Mate Mike. We didn’t catch a thing, but that wasn’t for lack of effort on their part. Captain Mike warned me ahead of time and asked if I’d like to choose a different day with better weather, but that was literally the only day I could go. They took us to four different locations, but the water was just too cold and the currents too strong. As proof that was not the best day to be fishing, we were the only boat out there other than a couple of guys working their crab pots. So I can’t compliment the crew enough for the amazing service and doing their best to help my youngest hook something. (I let them take the lead on that - I’m your guy when it comes to teaching someone how to hook treefish, rockfish, branchfish, and really anything else that’s not a fish.) They were very friendly and the boat ride was a lot of fun, though it was a bit rough for my youngest after a while. Once he got back on dry land and had some time to rest he was talking about how we’ll have to try again…when the water is nicer.

We’ll have to try again during the summer. For anyone looking for a good crew to spend time on the water with - they’re your crew.

Captain Mike put us on about 7-8 fish on our trip, only one ended up biting, but we still got to take home a fish.

Mike and Brandon got us on some big Cobia despite very choppy seas.  We had a great time!

Capt Mike had been in contact with me the few days before our trip to discuss optimal time to go out. We ended up going out in the morning. Both the capt and Wally the mate were very knowledgeable and helpful.  We caught 3 cobia - 44 in, 51in, and 54 in. We had to throw back the 51 in fish. The 3rd fish was caught on the way back in. I will definitely go out with them if I’m in the area again.
