Dan Bolton is a really nice guy & a great fishing guide. Lake Trout are fun fish to catch & eat. Thanks Dan for putting me on the Lake Trout. It was fun fishing & visiting with you & catching the Trout.

Captain Danno is a nice guide, but when you travel a great distance for a fishing trip, you expect to catch fish.  He only had two rigs for four people which I suppose may work if fish are biting.  We could see large schools of fish on sonar and were passing right through them over and over.  No luck.  We suspect they had started spawning and weren’t biting as a result.  We ended up catching only 1 salmon and 4 rainbows (all were small 12” ers) over a 5hr boat ride.  The weather and location were beautiful, but you pay a guide to know where the fish are biting and the best guides tell their clients not to waste their time if the season has passed.  In my opinion, Danno either should have known it was too late in the season or did know and didn’t tell us - either way, not great.
