  we have been on alot of boats that dont prodice ir have knowledge like this crew. we understand it is fishing, NOT carching lol. today was a great carch day! was able to hook and reel in a massive 300lb marlin and got to have my wife help me get it in. awesome memories!! bro inlaw also was able to get a sail fish in with all our help and including 80 year dad!!! walked away with a noce mahi maho also! epic dat on the water makong the best memoriea togwther!!!! the crew and captain did what they needed to do to get us on fish!! awesome tome and for sure will be back and help spread the word!! thank you everybody!!

  An Incredible Family Fishing Adventure with Captain Juan & Kendall!

  3/4 Day Trip on August 5, 2026 • 4 adults • 2 children

  Our family had an amazing 3/4-day fishing trip with Tamarindo Surf & Sport! Captain Juan and Kendall were outstanding from start to finish. They worked incredibly hard to keep us on fish while making sure everyone had a fun and memorable experience. The action was fantastic—we caught yellowfin tuna, red snapper, triggerfish, grouper, and black tuna. As if the fishing wasn’t enough, we were also treated to incredible wildlife sightings, including dolphins swimming alongside the boat and sea turtles along the way. Captain Juan’s knowledge of the local waters and Kendall’s constant help with baiting hooks, landing fish, and keeping everything organized made the trip enjoyable for the entire family. They were patient, professional, and genuinely wanted us to have a great day. If you’re looking for a first-class fishing charter in Tamarindo, we highly recommend Tamarindo Surf & Sport. It was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica vacation, and we’d book with Captain Juan and Kendall again without hesitation!

  The BEST! We have traveled and booked many deep sea fishing tours over nearly 40 years, and this one was BY FAR THE VERY BEST. We were skeptical about everything, as most of our adventures have been in and around Mexico/Carribbean, etc. Everything was as advertised, no extra fees, no extra bs for bait, fuel, boat changes, licenses, etc. David, his wife, Juan Jose (Mootee), and Luis (20!) were phenomenal!! Communication was perfect, easy, meeting was also, lunch was great, and the boat was clean and stocked with plenty of snacks, drinks, beer, etc. AND we caught 3 sailfish and 1 Mahi Mahi. They were so good at spotting them and helping us and our wives get the job done. They were also so friendly and interactive, and organized as heck. GO BOOK WITH THEM!!!

  David and crew were amazing. They worked tirelessly to put us on fish. we were able to catch grouper, snapper and a sailfish! The crew was friendly and very accommodating! The instructions on how to find them were clear and easy. David had someone waiting on us at shore to make sure we got to where we needed to be. They provided a plethora of snacks and drinks on board. Fantastic day all the way around. Thank you for a fabulous experience!

  Great day on the water!

  Full Day Trip on January 3, 2026 • 2 adults

  My Wife and I had a great time on the water, the fishing was slow but it's called fishing and not catching for a reason! Captain Juan and Mate Nesmer were awesome! Nesmer and I chatted all day like we were old friends, they made us feel very comfortable and asking often if we needed anything like snacks, drinks, food, etc. I caught a beautiful Sailfish, we had several Wahoo bites and I also caught a Skipjack. It is one of the smaller offshore boats but 2 of us were very comfortable and it had a toilet which is a bonus! Overall fantastic day! Thank you Juan and Nesmer!
