Tough day Striper fishing. Explained to customer prior to the trip that it was early for ocean side Striper fishing. Tried to noon then switched to a wreck where we caught a lot of sea bass that had to go back. When I told him that it was early he said thanks for the honesty but they wanted to try. Some days you can’t win for trying.

Sorry they were not happy with trip. Customer I do not think understood what an Inshore trip consist of. We ran 19 miles to find fish, porgy ,trigger fishing was off up to 5 miles from beach and moved around 10 different spots to try and catch some keepers for the cooler. Porgy’s and triggers are in the shallow waters in rocks and mussel beds. That is where we were. Big learning curve in the beginning of trip as they did not know how to use equipment. We did manage to put in coolers 4 triggers, dozen porgy’s and a dozen sea bass. One guy was keeping count and said he never caught so many fish. He had 44 fish ,lot of small sea bass.  We saw some party balloons and we made comment that I wish they were outlawed as was not good for environment , I did not expect customer wanted me to go pick them up as we could do that all day with the amount we have seen this year, We always try to do the best to to put fish in cooler.
